Re: Battery Fix

This reg edit didn't seem to make my battery last any longer. If it did, it seemed negligible.

I did notice that when my battery was running low, and I was on a phone call, the first time it notified me that it was low it also hung up the call and turned off the phone.

yup, never have figured out the logic behind that. I can only assume it's left over from pre-wm5 ppc's (did not have persistent storage, and needed battery to keep memory)
regardless,
you NEED no2chem's battery driver. nuerom.com
his driver will let the phone go all the way to 0% before turning off.
this will also allow you to fully calibrate the battery.

Re: Battery Fix

Hey I was thinking and then I read someone did it on a TouchPro what if the values get changed even higher say 25000, that has been done to the touch? Would that work, has anyone tried that on a diamond? If I brick my phone can sprint get it back up and prove I bricked it? Sorry for all this questions but never did any of this to a phone in my life and would always take it to sprint to get it fixed, since I pay for it… but seeing how I don’t want to take this phone back I better learn. Cause the battery life is bad on here coming from a palm but I can make call with the diamond here in this dead zone and hear ppl on the other end. Sorry so long

Re: Battery Fix

Sprint will just see that the Diamond doesn't work.
They probably won't know it is "bricked," or rather how it got bricked.
I don't think changing the polling from 20,000 to 25,000 will make any difference. Others know more about this than I.
There is a point of diminishing returns.

PHM Registry Editor is an application that you must download and install. http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/

You can create a new entry and it'll work.
