I did the registry change earlier and I will see how it goes.
Changed the polling from 5000 to 20000

I know it will.

when the phone wakes up from deep sleep it often recalls the batt level from before suspend. it will then be your defined time before it checks again unless <10% (or 5% with no2chem's driver) at which point you will start getting the warnings and as we all know, once the warnings start good luck maintaining a conversation and charge.

I changed the polling from 5000 to 20000. It has been a couple of days.
Regarding battery life, I would say that I may be getting slightly more but definitely not any less.
Is there a more specific way to tell me what kind of effect changing the battery polling is having?

You could use a battery monitoring program and check the difference in mA.

Which one do you recommend?
I previously tried battlog but it seems involved, and it took awhile to download info etc., at least for me.

I was on his site yesterday and saw some apps but when I went to download the cabs, I got an unsuccessful message on my Diamond.
Btw, there is a perceptable positive difference regarding the increase in battery longevity, after increasing the battery polling to 20000, but I cannot give a specific time reference.
