Well buddy, the fact is this.. I have a treo 755p that has no problem conserving battery, I have a instinct that has no probelms at all conserving battery, both at the same location. So I guess everyone here is trying to figure out why the battery life can be so dramatic from one situation to another.

If your going to contribute, please do, but if your going to throw in smart *** comments, when it seems that you contribute no where, and I mean no where.. then please, take your obvious lifeless self elsewhere. Thanks buddy :P and yes I did run bornmobile.com and mobileslash.com and a few others and I know my share of knowledge. My question pertained and said "Will this cause a DRAMATIC battery decrease"

no this doesn't pertain to that, but I do have that program and it works well. I do however, recommend the reg edit provided in this thread. I have seen a great improvement in the efficiency of my battery life even with bluetooth wifi video streaming and heavy internet usage.

What exactly does this hack do? I mean, I understand that it improves battery life, but how?

it polls the battery less, I think that checking for the exact charge on the battery is actually a highly power consuming task.

I need to go to sprint store some time ask for a free 2nd battery. Even with the battery fix it's not going to get me through 48 hours.

I don't have anything to compare these results with, but I have a TELUS Diamond running Juicy's 2.4.1 ROM from Toronto, and I was in Las Vegas over the weekend. With all my Data turned off, I was on standby for over 48 hours and was only down 2 bars on my power meter. I was on the phone for about 1 minute, and made about 20-30 text messages.

That's pretty darn good, but I'm not sure whether to attribute this to the battery fix or not using any data.
