Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
That's terrible about the battery. Wonder if we can adjust something to fix that.
Maybe a new Cab will come out on here for 64 users. |

Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
Why would people manually do reg edits when they can just install the cab from page 1?
It worked for me out of the box, dont understand the mass confusion or the editing of regs being done. |

Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
Well I dont know what I did wrong but I am just going to break down and get a wireless card since this phone doesnt want to let me tether with USB. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had tethering a phone. I thought it would be easier this time around considering that it has Windows Mobile on it.

Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
Did anyone get charged for tethering by Sprint using the cab from post #1?
Edit: I couldn't wait for the answer anymore but to install the cab and use it on my win xp dell laptop. After a soft reset and connect to my laptop, it works instantly without any issue. I guess I will find out myself if Sprint is going to bill me or not. Thank you. Last edited by mseefool; 11-22-2008 at 01:49 AM. |

Mr.Monkee, Please tell the forum which phone, carrier, cab you used, operating system and method you used to connect to the internet with what software etc.. You must be missing a step as I have used both cabs with and without backlight tweak on a Sprint Diamond and on a Sprint Pro with no issues. =D> So I know we can help you figure out how to tether.

I can connect with BT just fine but with the USB connection nothing happens except that there is a NDIS connection that is created but it gives me no internet connection. I used the backlight and the non back light cab and it was the same thing for both. I have also tried to get it to work on 32-bit and 64-bit Vista. Is there anyway that I can just reverse the settings of the cab and start from there? Maybe I didnt even need the cab as some users have reported. Thanks for the help. Btw, I was able to tether through USB with PDANet but it drained the heck out of my battery and the charge couldnt keep up. Maybe PDANet jacked something up, who knows... Here is a pic of what I am talking about, the 2nd connection called "Local Area Connection 3" Remote RNDIS...: ![]() Last edited by MrMonkee; 12-26-2008 at 08:17 AM. Reason: image upload |
