I zoomed past the 6 pages, and didint see this mentionned... The frequency range seems to drop "dramatically" on the loudest setting, try lowering the sound by 1 notch... I find it adds a lot of oumph |

Go into the settings of this and you have the option to set the x button to close the program instead of minimize it.....

Re: Diamond Thoughts.
Ok, its been 24 hours with the Diamond and I took it for a good test drive to the mall yesterday. Here are my 24 hour thoughts.Btw.. yesterdays trip to the mall, I charged it 100% and I used it at the food court for almost 5 hours non stop web, email, app usage. SO not bad at all! I bet the auto dimmer halps control battery drainage.
Overall I am very satisfied with it. Pros: Beautiful bright VGA screen. The resolution really makes the difference. No limit to the angle unlike my Touch. Very responsive Toflo3d and hides winmo pretty good. I like the colors Sprint gave it. Small and easy on the pockets. Camera is the best I have encountered on a Sprint Phone. Autofocus is great! Screen brightness sensor is very good. Keeps the battery charged. Sound quality on the earpiece is SUPER. Better than the Touch. Headphones are really loud and impressively crisp! Even on youtube videos! G-sensors do a good job on turning to portrait and landscape. Opera on it is actually pretty good. I can actually read the text when its zoomed out! Due to the resolution of the VGA screen. The center button is actually a capacitive button. Very nice! And the glow is very cool Side volume control is actually buttons and not a slider. I like it since my Touch had a sticky slidder button. Gps works flawlessly. I get locks within 15 seconds. Picture mail works flawlessly. CONS: I dont like the feeling of the derection pad. Left and right are ok but pushing up and down is weirnd and not solid feeling. Specially UP. Center button only has one color LED. White. I wish there was a green and blue and yellow and red. Like the Touch. The thickness of the device is a bit thick. I was expecting it to be thinner or equally thin to the Touch. Loud speaker SUCKS royally. No high frequancy range. So the sound comes out a bit muffled. Burgandy back cover is girly. I like it black better. And it does not have the rubber paing the Touch did. So its a bit slippery. Running alot of app and not closing them will lead to a sluggish Touchflo3d. The auto focus is a bit slow and loud. But acceptable since the picture come out GREAT! Touch keyboard has a delay. T9. The device get a bit hot after alot of usage. If not carefull and you leave alot of aaps opened in the background. G sensors react slow to Opera landscape and portrait switching. I am sure I can think of more on pros and cons but this is what I have experience in the 24 hours of usage. I must say I like it alot and consider this to be a giant upgrade compared to my Touch. But the main factors that convince me of a good buy is the vGA screen and Auto focus camera and I really like the screen brightness sensor. But honestly.... since its a bit thinker than my Touch, then I dont see why I would not go for the PRO. I really need the Keyboard so I will not be keeping this. Unless I fall in love with it more for the next 28 days! |

Re: Diamond Thoughts.
my thoghts exactly. battery life havent been so hot for me, but then again, its hard for me to put it down. i like all the little features that most dont care about...like the little vibrate when calls connect. I really like how i can play all my music directly from the music store tab, and still choose repeat once or all, and avrcp functions work with my s9 in every application. It can get sluggish at time, but its not very often and its managable. I think if the pro launches in 30 days I might go for it...i love having a real keyboard. I miss the native im clients and facebook client from my blackberry, and push email w/o murering the battery, but I have no regrets of coming back to WM for the diamond. but hey, overall, it was WELL worth the wait. HTC did an excellent job on this little device, and some dont like all the "sprintifications" but personally I like them. All the sprint branding and coloring dont bother me at all. All in all, this is the best WM device ive ever owned, and ive owned and pounded just about every one of them.

I am in a dilema. I love this thing.... but I want to give the Pro a shot. I think I would have kept this Diamond 100% for sure. bt when I realized that its a bit thinker than the Touch, that makes me wanna try the PRO. How much thicker can the pro be? Ohh.. one more thing I forgot to mention. WIFI baby! |

Re: Diamond Thoughts.
well i ordered the diamond 2 days ago for 200 after MIR. I will give opera a shot. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that i heard that Opera doesn't work well with flash, unlike Skyfire that does an amazing job with flash content. What do you think?

Re: Diamond Thoughts.
I have been extremely impressed with the speed of Opera Mobile on this Device. I was never a big fan of it on my Touch and always prefered Opera Mini to it but, on the Diamond it seems to be almost as fast as mini with alot more features.....
