Re: Diamond Thoughts.

OK, I'm coming over from the Sprint 6700. It is a massive brick. So, when I got this, I was astonished at how small it is. Not kidding, my jaw dropped when I saw it.

The screen is amazing. So crisp and clear. I hardly take the stylus out at all because everything responds well to finger touches. I like that the screen is flush instead of recessed like on the 6700. It makes hitting the X button easier.

I miss having some of the extra buttons. I was so used to hitting the hard OK button on my 6700 to close things that I am having a hard time with it not being there. It is something I'm sure I will get used to soon.

I love the accelerometer, but it really needs to work in all apps. I hate turning the phone and then realizing, "oh, that must not work in this app." Why not? You would think Sprint would have insisted that it work in all apps.

Love the UI. The TFlo3D is beautiful and works very well. It is pretty responsive and I've found nothing in it that I don't like yet.

Overall scores:
Screen 5/5
Buttons 1/5
UI 5/5
Accelerometer 3/5 (would have been 5/5 if it worked in all programs)
Overall 4/5

With all that said, I ordered this on Monday and had it billed to my account. My bill is due Oct. 2nd. Right now, I am strongly leaning toward bringing it back before the 2nd and not having to have paid anything. Reason is it's size... sounds weird, huh, since I just said I was amazed at how small it is. Well, that's just it. Since it is SO SMALL, why not get the Pro with it's extra 2mm and get my keyboard back? The Pro will still be significantly smaller than my 6700, and I'll get a keyboard and TV-out with it. Unless I completely fall in love with this over the next two weeks, that's what I'll end up doing.

As a side note, I was not one of those guys that planned ahead to get the Diamond and do an immediate trade. I really wanted to stay with the Diamond. Just not sure I can live without the keyboard.

HAHA! Very well put. I am in the same boat. I am scared I might fall in love with it, but if the Pro is just a bit thicker.... then I MUST go with the PRO! MUST!

Re: Diamond Thoughts.

So I've been looking online for a video or response talking about this. I want to know if it is possible to use full qwerty in landscape to text. Seems that you would have more space for the keyboard this way, and i could possibly get used to not having a keyboard this way. What have you all experienced?

Thanks. Aware of that feature. I am unimpressed with the lack of hardware buttons to allow multiple shortcuts to apps/features. The Action Program from XDA may help in that regard. Juicy Rom is probably worth a download and it might change my mind about returing the Diamond.

The Pro is 4mm thicker. It is 18mm thick vs the Diamond at 14mm.

Re: Diamond Thoughts.

In regard to screen, am i the only that see the screen has a more greenish, yellowish tint to it. My touch has a more whitish and grayish color, which i like more.
