Re: Got diamond sent to me for free(exchange)

Had couple of email conversations with ecare and finally got someone who;s willing to budge. However, no matter how hard I tried she would not budge for either free exchange from my Touch to diamond, or directly ship one to me. She insisted that ecare cannot order phones anymore and asked me to either go to store buy the diamond or go through telesales along with a return kit. She would then do the math of 549 (diamond)-499 (Touch) and charge my account for $50 once the touch reaches them. On the other hand, one of my buddy who sorted things out with ecare within 2 emails and he showed me the scripts and the phone. Basically the rep who replied him said OK I'll offer you any phone at the same price of touch, he picked up diamond and got away with the price difference. Although I told the ecare rep I knew you can still order phones for me, it's just not as easy as before, she still insisted there is nothing she could do.

Re: Got diamond sent to me for free(exchange)

im absolutely sure that sprint employees follow this forum, I actually found out about this website when I was working with sprint and got my first ppc, ahh memories. The best way to get what you want is not to demand it, but make them feel obligated and there responsibility to do so. Also, if emails seem to be a dead end, call retentions and tell them you are having trouble getting your problem resolved through email, unhappy with customer service, and you are possible thinking of canceling service because of the poor lact of customer service.

Thank you for your reply.

I apologize but the handset has still not been ordered and would like to
assure you that now I have ordered the handset HTC Diamond for you. You
will receive the handset within next 3 to 5 business days.

Also, the return kit has already been ordered.

I once again apologize for the same and request you to consider it a one

Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.

call or email and ask that you get an order number, then go to sprints website search order status and all you have to do it put in your order number, and you get the status of the order from sprints end, and also all ups tracking information is available. Im watching mine that way and it looks like friday is going to be a good day

Thanks for the advice. A sprint rep did call me this morning, and I did exactly that. I checked the order number on sprint's website, and though there's no tracking number available, I can see the order number in their system.

I really hope that I get the phone by friday, cause I can't wait through the weekend again -- the anticipation's killing me!

The only good thing it that it does give me a little more buffer time if I decide to exchange it for the pro. I don't really wanna do an exchange for the pro, but I just hope I can live without the hardware keyboard.

Re: Got diamond sent to me for free(exchange)

i emailed Ecare and explained to them how I had many problems with my ppc 6700 and that it was replaced 4 times before someone else finally gave me the mogul and that it would be the best phone available. i told them that my mogul runs out of memory very fast so i have to reset the phone about 3 times a day and that's with the stock ROM. I had the screen replaced and after a few days i have a white spot on the bottom left corner. I told them i was tired of all the defective devices and that i went to the store to replace the device and the store rep told me that they needed to replace the device with a touch 6900 but I had said NO because i need WIFI on my device. Finally i told them that the sprint store rep told me that the only other available device better than the Mogul with WIFI would be the HTC Diamond. I received several offers from them and after i told them i was going to switch to the Iphone with AT&T this is what they said:

I will summarize the offer for you. I have offered you the online
> price
>Therefore you can get the HTC Diamond for $474.99!!!
> of the handset with a new 2 year contract. Your line is currently

I am sorry but this is the best I can offer you for upgrading your

What do you guys think??? I just don't want to pay the $479.99 up front. the device would really cost me $249.99 after the credit of $225.00 and the $75.00 off with the 2 yr contract.

I'm in the same boat as you describe... which is why i havent gotten my phone yet.... I want ecare to order one and have the transactions done thru my account instead of me 'paying' and them later reversing the funds back to me.... they keep saying the 'cant' order the diamond for me thru ecare... but i've seen tons of other reps do just that!! oh well just means i have to be more patient... at least I'm getting my mogul replaced with a diamond for FREE! sigh....

Re: Got diamond sent to me for free(exchange)

How are you guys pulling this off? Ive been through 3 touches since May. Each one the battery would die within 10 or so hrs, when I wud listen to my mp3 player if I had it on for an hour it would freeze and id have to take the battery out to restart it, calls drop like crazy, and just yesterday when I press down on the touch screen a rainbow type smudge appears on the left side of my screen. Im so fed up with my touch. All they are offering me is a referbished touch for free. Anyone have any advice for me?

Try again within 30 days of activating your refurb, and see if you get any further.
