It's hard to say. Laws seldom keep up with the digital world. Many will claim they are not charging for the free software. They are charging for their services. Services being the time they spent putting it together, and their time they have invested in obtaining the knowledge to do so. Usually members of the community do all the vigilante justice.

How many have chimed in against e-bay_dude selling ppcgeeks stuff. This is about the same to me...

edit: all the tools are free, most of the programs are ripped from a rom. Roms that the provider has paid a licensing fee to say GoogleMaps to provide that software in their say, Sprint Rom. No, GoogleMaps isn't free...

I was reading a article in the Globe a couple months back. They were saying they were going to make everything that we do here Illegal ie REMOVING ELECTRONIC LOCKING SYSTEMS FROM ANY DEVICE

Are you talking about the Globe and Mail? I believe you're talking about hte upcoming bill C-61.

Keep in mind that this site is mostly American, and what we do up here in Canada doesn't have much impact on the States.
