Re: Custom ROM Service
You'll want to read some of my Rom building tutorials first. There are a 3-4 diamond kitchens @ xda's , Toby's/ghettorfreeryders on the ftp, and there's that ppckitchen.org that will probably be adding support for the diamond some time soon....

Keep in mind that this site is mostly American, and what we do up here in Canada doesn't have much impact on the States. Clint

Re: Custom ROM Service
Keep in mind that this side is mainly focused on the CDMA diamond, so when choosing a kitchen to cook your ROMs, use the correct kitchen!

Re: Custom ROM Service
Hmm.. about 1/3 of people would actually like a ROM Service so far...
About 40% believe this is a bad idea for reasons other than it already being easy. |

Wow, poll results: 12 for custom service 30 against. If you check the vogue upgrade forum, their sorta having world war III over there and slowly ousting chefs with donation buttons. It is happening and this board is losing users as they are jumping ship and going elsewhere... It's not what it used to be... |

Ethical issues, perhaps. The issues for me are (1) profiting from the reuse of work of numerous chefs, (2) profiting from the use of tools and source material of questionable legality. The hacker in me has no issue with the activities in (1) and (2), but the profit is an issue. Kind of like people seliing burned copies of DVD's on eBay for profit. |
