I am in the same boat. Looks like we are screwed. We will ahve to pay almost full price. I was able to just qualify for 75 dollars because I have been only 14 months with them. They dont want to budge too.... I asked for more and they said sorry.

yup, that's what I did today. Returned my Treo 800w last weekend a few days before the 30 day return was up. Called up CS this morning and had them verify that I was still eligible prior to making the purchase. Went off without a hitch.

I've been with Sprint for 8 years, I have 2 lines and both contracts ended in July 08. I do have a password on my account, could that be the problem? Also, I am not renewing my contract, just buying the phone.
