Re: Who's buying on day one?

yeah some of the people working at sprint seem like they didn't graduate high school my g/f had a problem with her sync wire on her phone so she went in there and asked for a replacement they had to ask each other questions and 2 of them had to go back there just to get a new wire can't be that hard so im sure they mess stuff up all the time.. =D>

Voted Later...

My Touch is working great with Derek's Custom Rom, no reason to replace what isn't broken.

Plus, the delays and troubles from up North have me worried. This may be another coming of the Treo 700P... just a junky phone from Day 1. Will be watching to see what everyone's experiences are like.

Re: Who's buying on day one?

I'm gonna watch and wait. Upgrade isn't due till Nov anyway. I did that with my Touch and am glad I did, because I got to read all of the posts about the pros and cons, "My Touch is the best/worst, this doesn't work! etc... The only downside on getting my Touch was 35 days later they dropped the price with MIR to $99. ;(

I have heard the same from my corporate Sprint rep as well as the manager of my closest Sprint retail store. The retail manager told me to count on coming in Sunday when they opened and walking out with two (I am upgrading another line as well). He said that his store already has 15 in stock in back...

It was your rebate eligibilty that got reset because you upgraded your phone. Anytime an upgrade is done, the system automatically resets the eligibility date to 22 months from the date of purchase. It's rare to have a customer return an upgrade and ask to have the eligibility reset so they upgrade to different device that's going to be released at a later date, just doesn't happen that often.

And why are so many of you stating that you will go buy a Diamond only to return it when the Pro comes out. By doing this you deplete inventory and cause extra work for alot of people. Why??? Because you can???? Because you don't care about you carrier and feel your owed something because you pay them for the service???? If you WANT a Diamond go buy one....if your not sure if it's the Diamond or the Pro, then wait till they both come out, go to the store and look at both and then make a decision to buy based on what you like best.

My guy thought he'd have about 4 and said one was for display. I asked about telesales and he said not any earlier than he'd have them. I asked him to hold one for me and he said not to worry if I came in the AM I'd get one....
When reading all the debates about the in store sales I get a little worried but if this falls through I'll simply make a phone call and order one, no biggie.

Well, some of us VALUE our 549.99 dollars and we want to try both before we settle with one. And don't feel sorry for Sprint, they have plenty of money. And No, we cannot wait another month for the Oct. 18th so then we go buy the Pro and then return it and get the diamond and then decide. This is a free market and we as customers are allowed to do what ever we wish with our hard earned money. But if you are so worried about Sprint getting extra work.. I am sure you can wait for the 18th Oct. and play with both. Just my 2 cents. Btw... 15 minutes fiddeling with both phones at the store is truly not enough time for us to decide if we like it or don't. Personally.. I need 2 weeks and then decide if I need the keyboard or not. Thank you...... and please don't take this as a bash, its just one persons opinion.

Re: Who's buying on day one?

I pay on average 1240 a year for just my plan alone and then another 300-400 dollars a year for a new phone. I can careless if it's more work for people to put it back into inventory. I want to play with the diamond so when the pro comes out im already familiar with the phone and the new options. And to be honest i can't see it being that difficult to put it back into inventory. If it is a problem sprint shoudn't have the damn 30 day trial. So complain to sprint not us for using and option they provide.

P.S. Why do you even care why someone else is doing this it doesn't affect you
