Hello everyone Im the new guy!..... Anyway its true people its true, I just came from downtown because I had to get my Instinct fixed and in the Sprint store they had the Diamond on display... well not the phone per say but the paper display and the price was $249 with 2 year contract and no red back cover! I was also told that the release date was Sept. 2nd they got pushed back for a 9/14 release day.... well just telling ya what I was told and one more thing... don't trade your Touch for the Instinct

No red back...? If you get a picture of this Engadget will have it up in a few seconds, I still think it's burgundy, I may be wrong though.

This is exactly what I've been told by my friend that works at the local Sprint HQ in Bothell, WA.

Diamond release pushed back to Sept 29th erring on the side of caution because of the recently discovered end button bug plaguing the Telus Diamonds. The bug is that sometimes when you push end button in a call it doesn't hang up...but it looks like it does on the device....thus racking up faulsly huge usage charges.

And the current Touch Pro date is October 19th.

DISCLAIMER: This is only what I've been told. I of course have NO WAY of knowing 100%...no one does....not even Sprint executives. Only the device engineers and PMs know.

Tell me I'm wrong but the way I see it, Some places confirmed that the release is the 14th. Some places say it's 28th or 29th. Don't U guys think that the release vary by location? Hmmmm.

you are right the oficial day its sep 14 i work for sprint and the price its 349.99 with a mail in rebate of 100.00
