Cause hat would really suck, Because I would not pay more for this than my original 4gb Iphone, which was $500. Just not worth it. Probably gunna buy it in the store just to be sure, but if anyone could tell me that would be great.
I could grab a pic for it since I can't print it out, but if it circulates, I doubt it'd be hard to track it back to me since I visit here at work on lunch and stuff so probably get fired :-p As for price call care and ask your upgrade eligibility, likely you are in for 75 bucks if you've had it a year so you might get it down to 475 but not much else unless the system likes you :-p

Unhappy Re: Its Official Sept. 14th Release of the Diamond on Sprint!

OMG that would suck. Is that how it works? I have only had my phone like 3 months so I wouldn't even get the 1 year $75 discount? Oh man, there is no way I am going to pay $550 for a winmo phone. I thought I would at least get the $150 off for the 2 year comittment and maybe even the $50 instant rebate, making the phone in the 350-400 range. I think the days of $500 phones are over, considering what apple did with the new iphone. What i don't understand is why I cant go down the street, pay full price for the instinct, then activate it on sprint. If they do this with the touch diamond I'm gunna be even more pissed, but there is nobody that should have to pay $550 for a cell phone in 2008. Come on sprint, you can do better than that.

Well if someone was in your position wanting to buy an iPhone, it would cost them $400-$500. That's just how the contracts work!

Re: Its Official Sept. 14th Release of the Diamond on Sprint!

Weird, in one of the main retail stores in my area, the guy readily said 14th he'd have it in store, I asked about getting it sooner in telesales he said not really unless I was going to buy a lot like for a company.... I asked if there was a list to get my name on and he said not to worry if I showed up around opening time there'd be plenty as they haven't had any questions about it. I asked for brochure (no displays out) he went in back and got me one. I asked for a Pro brochure and he said oh those (the phone) will be here on october 19. I would say where but I don't want MINE to be taken. VBG

BTW I didn't even ask when it was coming, I only said I was browsing because I was waiting on the Diamond.. he gave up the dates as his reply to that statement.

how do u figure youre entitled to another discount if you just got one 3 months ago? 1 year means 1 year, not 3 months. they give you money off because they know theyll make money off og you over the contract period. What motivation would sprint have to give you yet another $2-300 off a phone? unless youre running a company and paying a $1000.month bill expect to pay full price or get one off ebay for a little cheaper after launch. $500 phones are normal, you really think the iphone ony cost $199 to produce? No way, they know youre paying at least $70/month to ATT and Apple is getting moeny from ATT. They make the price of the phone back during the contract. i dunno why people cant comprehend that about the iphone, its no "magic deal" theyre giving you.

Technically yes, but I wouldn't and if you do call back to customer care to have it double checked anyways. Those guys are horrible at plan changes.

Are you serious? you must think the world reall revolves around you. as stated earlier the iphone if you aren't eligible for upgrade will be between 400 and 500 so the pricing is correct. second you you just signed a 2 year contract. sprint or anyone else doesn't care about you wanting another new phone. they got you for 2 years already, why would they give you a discount after 3 months. if you think the days of 400 phones is over then you are sadly mistaken..
