Re: Diamond Reviews
I have had the Diamond since October 2008.I have gotten used to the constant freezes and having to soft reset ten times a day and my active sync not working most of the time but I got used to those issues and really liked the Diamond. My battery also did not last 12 hours. But I just got a replacement Diamond that has the 2.00 Sprint ROM and the 1.11 radio.WOW!what a difference those 2 upgrades make.No more freezing or reset and after 12 hours, I have at least 40% battery life left.

Active sync works fine. I do experience short freezes once in awhile while typing but the Diamond unfreezes after a few seconds. Last edited by Biker1; 04-27-2009 at 01:37 AM. |

Re: Diamond Reviews
Great comparison, my Touch just bit it (2nd time) so insurance is giving me a Diamond as a replacement. Just filed the claim, so looking up what I can expect with the Diamond. Looks like I'm going to enjoy it. (was looking to upgrade to a Pro eventually anyways though, we'll see)
p.s. The touch censor is what failed on my Touch.. what good is a Touch if you can't touch it, haha. Quote:

Re: Diamond Reviews
Ok, so I'm a longtime tech-geek. Upgraded to an Instinct back in August and had nothing but problems. So I joined the folks who were protesting all the issues with Bell. Last month I was offered a Diamond or a Treo and after browsing this forum decided the Diamond was for me. Flashed it after day one and had a few issues. Have tweaked it for a couple of weeks and you will have to fight me to take it away. I LOVE THIS PHONE!!! Had to do a few resets and thought I bricked it once, but it is one tough machine. It's humming along now and I go to the new software pages regularly to look for new downloads. No issues with the amount of memory. Battery life is decent. Screen is great (wish is was a bit better outdoors, but so what). Conclusion: this puppy is great if you have the inclination to play with it. Not sure that it is a good phone for folks who are not too tech-savvy. Cheers to all those who are developing great software for this phone. Keep up the good work!

Re: Diamond Reviews
I found the perfect answer for viewing outside in direct sun where the Diamond/TouchPro are totally useless.
I take my second gen Ipod Touch & tether it to my TouchPro with WmWifirouter. That way, I can use the super bright incredibly responsive ipod screen & safari browser for browsing from anywhere I have a cell connection & it works perfectly in the bright sun............ I can also use the new ipod Sling Mobile to watch TV on the ipod anywhere I want...... ~John |
