Not saying it won't, but EVERYTHING is pointing towards a delay. However, if it does come out in 6 days then we'll all be enjoying a badass phone.

Like I said, I spoke to one of the upper level S&D people, and it is for sure pushed back. Advocates will still get them earlier, but the Diamond will not start coming out to the public till after the 14th.

I was thinking the 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th since they're all Sundays in September so it should be one of those days. More than likely the 14th or later.

i just got off the phone with telesales, they told me that the diamond got delayed till late september/early october, they also said that they would save me one and call me when it will be in stock. also since i have a new family share plan with unlimited data/text they offered to give me 10% off my bill for two years, 150 instant rebate and 100 MIR, for signing a two year deal, so in the long run i will be gettin the phone for free, also i asked them about the touch pro and they seemed to have no idea what it was.

Ask your S&D guy why they still have not set a date. I don't understand why they wouldn't move it to a new date and instead they just say sometime in the near future. How could no one know when the date will be... I mean how did the conversation in the VP room go?

VP: Lets push the date back
Everyone else: What date do we want to release it?
VP: Ahh, just sometime in september
Everyone else: Well we need to get everything ready
VP: Well who cares just sometime in later september
Everyone else: You can't give us a date?
VP: Na, I need to go to the restroom, we can talk about this later... OUT

I mean seriously, you know your releasing it within 4 weeks and you can't decide on a date? I wonder what the overall factor is? Maybe they are waiting on shipments from HTC?

mmm I dunno my buddy at the corporate sprint here is an advocate, he says he's getting his withing the next two weeks, but has heard lots about delays.
In all, sprint hasn't officially announced anything.
I'll get more excited when I get that confirmation.

(Just repeating in case you missed it the first time through)

Specifically the "Coming in September" part of the graphic. Even if they haven't communicated that much all the way throughout Sprint it is nice to see a Sprint site mentioning the Diamond finally.

I tried to go to: https://bluefish.sprint.com/promo/wm..._pro_promo.cfm but sadly there was no such page to be found. (I expected as much, but still hoped there might be.)

ok, we all heard the rumors about the htc sprint diamond coming out supposedly August 28 (today), a few days earlier than the officialy announce release date which is September 2. if it did actually drop today, i wouldnt mind seeing some photo or youtube videos posted here. so my question is.... ummmmmm did it come out yet??

Ok, so... just got into work and the Planogram is going up. The HTC Diamond is going to be displayed on the floor as of today. We don't have a demo model or the pricing, but all the advertising materials are going out. So far though, no OFFICIAL launch date. However, common consensus is we get a huge shipment of phones Friday so it might be in there for a
September 2nd release. I'll keep you updated... keep your fingers crossed.
