Diamond Release Speculation Thread

Not that this is a dealbreaker for most people, but did you realize the Sprint Touch Diamond will be delivered sans FM Radio? The following youtube video seems to show the different features of the sprint version the best, and in the comments, they said it does NOT have the radio. Enjoy the video, I did.

They've NEVER said the CDMA phones will have the radio or front facing camera. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who's researched and looked at the specs.

finally startin to see much more "sprint" diamond on youtube... and man, the gsm versions can't touch the cdma ones... its so much smoother for us sprintsters

i just don't like the sprint skinned TF3D, except the clock which is nice, the rest is not my cup of tea... and i hope when reverting back to the original skin i don't get the music store ontop of the music screen, ugh... but i also hope i can use that clock from sprint, looks sleek.

I just stopped in my local sprint store, milwaukee wi, and the manager said she just heard this morning that they'll take orders within the store starting on sept 16th for direct shipment. The phones themselves wont be in this particular store until sometime in october, according to her. Kinda sounds like each store/region may be handling sale dates differently. Geeze, if this store isnt getting the diamond in until october, wonder when they'll get the touch pro? december?

They will be available to ship on the 14th, and the latest word I have - which I don't post unless Ifind it on official Sprint documents - is that they won't be in the stores until Oct. 12th. So, take it for what its worth. Here is a cut and paste from the excel file

This is the last I've seen also. Doesn't mean it won't hit stores before that though. Remember you can get e-mails for when the phone is available at Sprint's website.

Perhaps Sprint is using people's zip code who sign up for notifications as to how they will distribute the phones to the corp. stores. Just a thought, only speculating. Only time will tell.

I've signed up for the notification and, being an experienced Sprint customer, fully expect to get the email about 2 weeks after I have the phone.

fm radio isn't really that big of a deal breaker to me. Tuned.mobi lets me stream like 99% of all fm stations in the country.
