this is legit.. believe me or not, but i get the word str8 outta my good friend of 10yrs' mouth. He calls me off his work(sprint store's) phone.

My buddy at the store told me that same thing but they are not 100% on the getting 2 thing so I can only hope they do so I get it...

No they aren't. They will not be shipping any for sale to any store before 9/28.

did you forget that my buddy was gunna sell me one before actual release? they were told 1-2 will be shipped to the stores... One will go to the advocate and being a corporate store, they will probably get 2... so if they do, the other will go to which ever employee wants to buy it... hence, he asked all his co-workers and they said i could buy it...

if they only get one, i won't feel too salty, but i will walk into that store and take a picture just to prove that they got it before the dreaded 28th

Well, I was told by email that it will launch on the 14th but be available to buy on the store by the 17th.

all these dates are really starting to tick me off... i just want the d*mn phone. And we actually thought sprint was gunna release something on time (sept 2nd)... after all we've been through waiting for those darn upgrades for the mogul and touch... BLAH! If i didn't have superfast 3g in my area and the best rate plan known to non employees, i'd be gsm... but thats what keeps me with my boy sprint

i talked to a sprint rep through chat i asked "when is the
HTC touch diamond coming" he said "9/14 online & telesales 9/28 in store"

The advocate phone comes activated on a line already and isn't received into inventory. There is no "extra" random phone coming. It's direct ship only on the 14th. Stores will get them MAYBE on the 28th, if inventory allows for it.

Your buddy is telling you this just to shut you up so you leave him alone for a few weeks.

Not to even mention the fact that the only way an employee could buy a phone in a store is for full retail price, with a 25% discount. Which is stupid because employees have multiple ways of getting the phone for new customer price, sometimes without having to mail in a rebate.

(If you can't tell, I work for Sprint. I also happen to be a Diamond advocate)

They don't send phones to stores for "which ever employee wants to buy it". In my 5 years with Sprint, I've never seen an employee pay full retail price for a phone in store, over waiting maybe 3 days to order it for the new customer price.
