I've been using the keyboard from the diamond on my Mogul and it's great. I haven't slid open my Mogul in probably 2 weeks. It's a bit slow to load on the Mogul, but I imagine on the Diamond it should be a lot more responsive.

It's 2008 people, who needs a hardware keyboard?

I don't, but I do need more than 4GB of storage. I would have gone for the Diamond if it had 8gb of onboard flash or if it had a memory card slot where I could add more.

We suggested the CDMA version of the Touch Diamond had eaten all the pies last week: Now word is out on its release and Sprint and HTC have chosen not to disguise it. Oh no... they've dolled that large rear-end up in a striking red color. Bizarre, though I guess its in the "if you can't hide it, make a feature of it" school of thinking. We can at least partly forgive its 0.55-inch depth, though, which is due to a 1350mAh battery. It's due out August 28th on Sprint, costing $549 for the bare phone, and $299 on a two-year contract. i hope we have it soon, the only ? is do i wait for the touch pro or not? the pro does not have 4gb internal storage which is faster then the trans flash, but no trans
flash on it.....

why cant the pro have 4gb and a transflash? why do you tease us so htc?

if this is available by thursday.. whats the best way to get it? Just walk in the store and pick it up and pay full price? I have been with sprint for 14 months and they did say i get a 75 dollars towards a upgrade. So would the store just knock off 75 dollars? Or should I order it online and tell tehm to give me the credit there? How does it work? I cant wait!

i still cant believe they are making that without the sd slot. even with 4gb of internal, i would prefer to be able to use my existing sd and everything on it. guess ill just have to remove everything through activesync

I seriously do not understand why everyone is getting so upset over the fact that there is no SD slot! It has been this way since the VERY FIRST DAY THE DEVICE WAS LAUNCHED! There have been no tips that would indicate it will have an SD slot.

It would make sense, however, for them to include it in BOTH because they are multimedia phones. But if its a dealbreaker for you, just go with the Pro!

The stores probably won't have it yet. If it is available on the 28th it will be through telesales. I'm not convinced that it will be available at all on the 28th either. I'm not sure that it won't be... we'll see if anyone gets one on the 29th or 30th.

Then they updated with; UPDATE: Looks like the launch has been pushed back a few weeks, and it will run $299 after rebates or $549 sans contract. We'll update you further when we have more information.

Aug 26th updated yet again with; UPDATE 2: It would appear September 2 is a go!
