Except Navigator is not yet available for Telus Diamond.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

I can tell you for a FACT that telus wanted to disable GPS
Code:
 <!--20080603, NEON_C ITS 264 request by Tunghao -->
 <characteristic type="Registry">
      <characteristic type="HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\SUPL AGPS" translation="filesystem">
         <noparm  name="ServerIP" />
       <noparm  name="ServerPort" />
  </characteristic>
 </characteristic>
And for some reason they intentionally disabled threaded text!?
Code:
 <!--20080625 Victor_C ITS:2854 Hermann_C ITS:1028 NEON_C ITS:671-->
 <characteristic type="Registry">
   <characteristic type="HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM">
       <parm name="SMSInboxThreadingDisabled" datatype="integer" value="1" />
    </characteristic>
 </characteristic>

Unhappy Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Has anyone been able to set call ringer to anything other than 2 rings and calls goes to voice mail?

In older versions of Windows Mobile, you could have phone go to 6 rings

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Can someone please confirm for me, before i go out and by this phone. I currently have a HTC Touch with custom GPS/REV-A ROM from Ghettofreeryder. I use Live search for my GPS needs. I heard that Telus has some how, made the program that will work with the Diamond's GPS, is their Telus Navigator. Is this true and is there any way around it. As well does the Diamond need programs like TCPMP to stream vids, or does it do it all one its own. Thanks for your help

I use live Search and Google Maps with my Diamond and have been using them since I unboxed the phone without any hacks. That being said, alot of people can't get their GPS to work out of the box.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Those functions are really important to me so they just have to work. Has anyone else not been able to get a third party GPS program running on the diamond. I do not want to pay for Telus Nav. Ghettofreeryder, will your new ROM give us that option, im sure it will

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

GPS has worked right out of the box for me. No tweaks, no hacks, didn't even have to fire up Resco. I currently have TT7 and Google Maps running and I've never even started Telus Navigator.
Again, my location makes a huge difference in determining how long a lock takes, or even if I can get one. I live in downtown Vancouver, and sometimes I won't get a lock at all if I'm surrounded by tall buildings. Then I go out to the beach and get a lock in 30-45 seconds.
I spent many hours banging my head against the wall when I upgraded my Vogue to 6.1 but couldn't get a lock because I was in my apartment. So when you're doing your testing, go play outside!
