Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Ok I hate to ask dumb questions, but here goes.
1. I'm currently applying the recommended GPSOne Settings. In the "Find your SPC section, it says to download two files, which I have done. It then says to transfer them to my phone. I'm using Activesync but where exactly do I transfer them to. I transferred them to my Windows directory on the phone but the phone does not "see" the program. Question is "Where on my phone do I transfer the file to?

2. I downloaded the two cabs for Diamond Tweak and for GPS Settings. Again where do I download them to and what do I then do with them. Is there a program I run on them?

Sorry in advance if these are Newbie lame questions.

#1 Do not transfer them as ActiveSync, connect as storage device and go to your INTERNAL MEMORY (that is your 4gb) then you can copy it there (or in a directory you create like "INSTALLS")

You then open them in the "File Explorer"

#2 same thing, copy to INTERNAL MEMORY and open via File Explorer

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Does anyone know how to change the background on the Touchflo 3D home screne, I tried to change it in SETTINGS-PERSONAL-TODAY-APPEARANCE, but nothing happened. . Has anyone figured out a registry hack, that would allow the G Sensor to work with all applications.

Read the stickied How To thread, it includes the stock ROM, and I just added Relocking.

in the touchflo interface, go to settings -> wallpaper and choose your home wallpaper....

there's gsen available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=403939. it doesn't work with the telus diamond....

juicy's rom has g-sensor enhancements....

Question Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Hi Juggalo_X (or others that can help in fact),

Thank you very much for helping me get my GPS working.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
First...

I dont know if its normal behavior, but my GPS seem a little sluggish (in googleMaps at least 'cause its the only program I tried and liked the interface). What I mean by that is during travel, the dot seem to move and stop all the time. The location is pretty exact but the movements of the dot is not very smooth, and when on the highway, it makes the dot seem about 500m or even 1km (worst case scenario) behind my location.

Is there something I can do? Are all the Telus Diamonds do this. What is the best setting for com port and speed (curently at com port 4 and 4800 baud/s)

If I'm corect, I cannot change the com port or it wouldnt work but it must be able to perform better then this!

If anyone can find out what I should do to get it working smoother, please dont be shy and give me some advice

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Secondly...

Everyone... How long does your battery last? I find it odd that my battery was dead in a day and all I did was talked less than 5min and played Teeter for about 15min... My e-mail notifications are all set to manual, Wi-Fi is off except at home, Data transfers are off except when needed and only 2 programs are in the task manager (activesync and Profile switcher).

Could there be a problem with my battery?? Is it faulty or the Diamond sucks energy like a german hooker on steroids??

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your replies guys

Well that's how Google Maps is on the iPhone, perhaps a different GPS program will be better, I for one am downloading TomTom 7 and buying the US map. Also for your battery issue, check for the tweaks around here, or switch to Juicy47's ROM.
