Update: I got it to work if I turn off the wireless data connection and use just wifi and that works. I am not an expert at this, and I am new to PDA phones. So I hope this helps anyone, and if anyone has any insight to using this on the Telus wireless data network that would be great.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Speaking of e-mail, anyone figure out Sympatico yet?

I wouldn't doubt for a second that it's simply not possible. It is Bell and Microsoft we're talking about here.

Seriously though, half my life is through e-mail so making it work would be awesome.

Well people, I do not know what the hell I did, but it seems to be working now, over the telus network. I will see if this continues without a problem

Thanks

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

hey everyone, i asked this questions before but it's still an issue. when i first got my touch diamond it would freeze every few days and I would have to soft reset it. I went back and they gave me another one. But not it's crashing a lot and I have to power off and power on again (every couple of days). I don't really mind if this is normal, I'll just deal with it. But I've been looking at this forum and no one seems to have issues? What do you guys think? I don't have any programs running and it still happens.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

I would advise thinking about flashing to a custom ROM.

As for the email issue, have you tried setting the smtp server to:

smtp.telus.net

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Tobeychris, I take it you were suggesting that a custom ROM will help stop my frequent crashes? If so, do you have any recommendations on which one? And I guess that this problem is probably not a hardware issue right? I was talking to the tech support and they suggested to perhaps return the device and I don't want to go through all the trouble. I already did it once and now i'm having problems again. Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Obviously I would suggest the one Ghetto and I have made, the other current choice is Juicy's ROM which is almost the exact same as it's built from the kitchen we made.

Exclamation Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread

Hey guys, I've been quite busy these past days but now I have a bit of spare time... I have found a great app made for the iphone that should DEFINITIVELY be ported to the Diamond!!!

It's a rockband tool and score viewer... You know rockband right

Go see it and please tell me if it would be possible to port this for wm6.1

The app is HERE

Every app for iphone should have its counterpart for the wm! That way we can show all those Apple fanboys that their phone aint so cool and special
