Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread
Manarch101 - I too use my phone for everything and for work - and although I work in IT - I would have to say I am a novice when it comes to these ROM based adventures. However, I found the documentation on page 1 of this thread very informative. In a nutshell on the first page - under the heading Telus Dump/HSPL there is link called "How To: Unlocking, Flashing, and Kitchens". Hit the link and you can then copy the locker, unlocker and the Juicy Rom. The rest is more ore less straight forward - unlock your phone, load the new rom, lock your phone, call Telus number to reprogram (*22803) and press 1 and 1 when prompted. Plus the instructions are also on the first page on how to get the GPS working. It all worked and I have had no problems. In fact I was expecting a disaster - but instead so far am very impressed by all this and how simple it really was.

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread
There is no need to relock unless you're taking the phone back to the store...
But you're welcome:P |

Re: Official Telus Diamond Thread
Up until few days ago battery life of Diamond was a huge issue for me. Was barely managing to have phone operational for half a day. So, i upgraded to Juicy ROM (he already has most of power saving tweaks running).
Also make sure you don't so anything stupid like i did. Due to my field of work i have 7 email accounts. I set them all up to be checked every 5 minutes ![]() Today i talked for about hour and a half and checked my emails about 4 times. Send few text messages and listened to few tunes, by the time i got home battery was still at 44%, so all good. |
