Possible; sure. It is rare though that a phone like this is not spotted or info on it leaked. Every other carrier is showing a new Windows Mobile phone on Oct 6 or shortly after. We have not yet seen what Sprint will be showing even though they are on the list for Windows Mobile 65. Could they just announce an upgrade to the touch pro 2? Sure, but again, all other carriers are showing new phones. If might not be a hard launch, but with all the other rumors, I expect to see something else from Sprint over the next month or so. Do I have any inside info, no, I am just another Sprint user that hopes to see a touch/diamond replacement that is lighter and doesn't have a keyboard.

hopefully sprint gets the whitestone instead of the diamond 2. 3.6 vs 3.2 Id take the whitestone if I didnt have my tp2 already. Looks like sprint is getting the hero, pixi, diamond 2 or white stone, 2 instincts all before christmas man I wish we had these choices last year lol

phonearena show's that sprint will get the whitestone them seem to be right about alot of the other phones coming but they still dont show a date 3 weeks away and still dont know for sure

Based on the FCC info here, (https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/...#39;NM8WHIT100') there is no specific info there that says "This phone is for Verizon". It was submitted for FCC approval by HTC as the Model WHIT100 with and FCC ID of NM8WHIT100. The screen size matched leaked info from Verizon of a diamond 2 variant. From there and other leaked sources, this phone was matched up with the Version name Imagio.

From the FCC data, I can find no reason why Sprint could not carry this phone as well. We have had rumors that sprint will carry it, but just not as much leaked info as has come from Verizon.

While I hope they still get it (I've been patiently waiting for this for awhile as an upgrade to my old Vogue) I finally decided to just pull the trigger and get a Diamond for cheap off Ebay to hold me over for now. Being on SERO my upgrade options are likely going to dry up eventually anyway.

I'm also increasingly thinking that Sprint is looking at the Hero as filling the Diamond 2's slot in their lineup. They're heavily tied to Palm at the moment and that's not changing. They've got the usual fleet of Blackberries. And they've got a full compliment of Windows phones - a high end WM offering (TP2 ) some mid-level WM offerings (Diamond, Treo Pro) and some entry-level WM devices (Ace, Snap.) Now they're going to add an entirely new platform with Android, so they may be thinking about cutting back one of their comparable offerings on other platforms to see how it fares. They're certainly not going to undercut Palm right now and Blackberry doesn't have a comparable offering. Which just leaves WM devices - and the Diamond 2 is the closest possible upcoming device that overlaps with the Hero from a marketing standpoint. Hopefully I'm wrong on that thinking. But if it was launching anytime soon I can't help but think we would've seen some more concrete rumors by now.

I see your point, however, note that Verizon is carrying the Omnia 2, and the Imagio...which are identical devices, in respect to form factor, and OS, as well as hardware (except for the slower processor on the Imagio, and the OLED screen on the Omnia 2). Although, no concrete rumors are going around about the V picking up Android.

Another thing to note; there are ALOT of original HTC Touch phone out there that are now just about two years old. Many people do keep these phones two years or more. Since the Diamond wasn't a good upgrade, (poor battery life and no memory card slot) those that could of upgraded didn't and others just passed on the Diamond. I have heard people say that the Diamond didn't sell well for Sprint. I and many others passed and now wait on the next best thing. While the Touch Pro 2 is a nice phone, compaired to the original Touch, it is a brick! Those that still have the original touch have it because it is light weight and it DOES NOT have a keyboard. The idea of a non Windows mobile phone just doesn't appeal to me. I don't want a 1st generation Hero. Nor do I want Palm. I want something better than the touch, that will run all the software I have. Oh and I have Sero also, so I need to be able to use that. Did I mention that my wife also has a touch that she loves but is looking to upgrade?

Sprint wants to keep us as customers. They will offer a comparable phone and if not I will keep my touch until they do.
