we always get pre-released specs like this... and they amost never change from the info given at the time of the press release..

this wsnt a leak on the web that were speculating on, its HTCs offical launch info, dont count on the specs changing... you can save this comment just so in a few months when i say "itold you so" it wont seem so harsh lol

Actually... most of the times, the specs get worse from leaks to release.

Quickly, off the top of my head, anyone remember promises of E-GPS on the TP2?

i do agree sammi, i'm not impressed yet...hopefully, it'll get better if europe doesn't like it and it gets refined before reaching the states. otherwise, i'm stocking up on tp2s and hd2s pronto lol.

in this case the spec cant lower, the PRO barely meets the minimum requirements to even run WP7... to me thats why it sucks(as is)...

"hey im MS and HTC, lets create and market a brand new OS.. Lets make minimum requirements so people cant complain about it being slow.. Hey, i know, lets make the phone 'just barely' meet said requirements..yeah thats it, thas what we'll do"

HTC always gets crap because their phones are slow. Yet they do NOTHING to fix it. Minimum specs all the time. Lack of drivers. The list goes on...

I really can't blame manufacturers for sticking to the minimum requirements... Wouldn't you? This is a new platform coming into an Apple/Android/Nokia/Rim dominated environment. Hell... Motorola hasn't yet commited to making a phone until they are sure the OS is viable.
I love it I want it but not everyone sees things from my perspective... And let me tell you that's not such a bad thing. At least from where I stand.

this does look pretty weak, we getting ready to put dual core's in our phone and htc is still pushing 1 gigz i mean look at the epic hummmingbird it is better then snapdragons. htc could do more to make the phone better (1.5 gigz, 5<8mp Cam, rename it TP3 lol ) and and i personally thing MS is makeing a mistake makeing 7 more locked down then 6.5 (come on 16 gigz internal no SD WTF is that?) non the less im can't wait to try 7 to see what they've done but i have to stick with my droid better experiance since day 1

yet most of US, myself included, keep buying HTC devices though.. why is that, a know? lol

Cause people don't buy HTC for HTC, they buy HTC for the community behind them..but if HTC pulls things like on the G2 and etc that might change...

Lexikon's processor is not slower...it is 800mhz BUT its 45nm and has a better GPU. (its a 2nd generation snapdragon) so its on par or maybe slightly better then the 1st generation 1ghz snapdragon..that said WP7 is not coming to Verizon for a while...

They are probably doing it so that they can later on sell slightly upgraded hardware..but playing that "minimum" game is what killed wm in the first place ..I mean entering into a market where most flagship phones are 1hz is not going to wow people with specs >.>
