Sprint xv6700

I love my ppc-6700 but it's banged up. I have a brand new shiny xv6700 thru work but don't want to sign up with verizon. My sprint esn is all good and I think I understand how to clone...can I use the xv6700 on Sprint by flashing a sprint rom?
