Based on recommendations here and on other sites I just picked up the Jawbone. Must admit, I find it very comfortable and fits really well. MUCH louder than my Motorola H3 and fits better too.
Well worth the money IMO

I've got the jawbone, and love it. My theory about the echoe is to let the 6700 initiate the first connection after turning on the jawbone. after that, everything seems to be fine.
