jspenc3 - sure it is possible to install a dialer without having to re-create the ROM, but you will have to locate a cab installation file for it (or create one yourself). Otherwise you would have to copy all the files from the dialer OEM directory to \Windows and manually enter in all the registry entries from the rgu file in the dialer OEM directory.

And keep in mind that all those files will now be taking up room in your phone's storage. Personally, I think it's easier to just pick the skin you want and build with it. But for those folks who like to change skins all the time this is really the only feasible way.

Spooky pda

My pda has been a bit spooky since the rom update. Does anyone know why it randomly triggers the back light to come on after the timer has turned it off? I do use an exchange server but this didn't happen before. I noticed this use to happen when i had pocket outlook synchronizing with gmail beforehand.

This is important since every time the light comes on i think i am getting a call or text.

Hey Guru by chance does the Pocket Plus package you listed above include any kind of extended theme issue resolution?

Are you close to a handoff point between SIDs or different roaming carriers? I know when I travel from Wisconsin to New York, my screen does this when I move into a different SID. Just wondering if you are jumping between carriers.

I flashed to the official 3.3 rom, and Bluetooth DUN works perfectly right away. DUN and OPP are listed as available in the profiles.

I just built another ROM from the kitchen and selected internet sharing, wmodem and modem link application. Interesting, this fixes the problem with wmodem. Perhaps there are some missing pieces from the old modem link oem that wmodem needs?

ok, did some more tests. Like I said, if you build both the Modem Link and Wmodem OEMs into the ROM, Bluetooth DUN seems to work. I tried copying the dll directories from the modem link oem to the wmodem oem and rebuilding the DSM. When I build a ROM like this, the bluetooth DUN profile shows available, but gives you an error when you actually try to connect. I don't know this is a oem package building error on my part or whether all the files from the modem link OEM are necessary.

So, I guess bottom line is, currently both the Modem Link OEM and the WModem OEM need to be included in the ROM for bluetooth DUN to work.

Regarding the combined OEM file...
luv2chill wrote:
The problem is that you didn't include the registry entries from the Modem_Link rgu. You may not need them all but at a minimum you probably need the BTHATCI.dll port entry.

Correction expected in a future release. For now, always select all three Tethering options to ensure functionality.

Where can I get a cab version for MS Internet sharing & Modem Link Application? I can't get BT DUN to work.

I only selected Wmodem in my ROM, and would prefer not to flash & hard reset a 5th time, lol. I finally got my 6700 working exactly as I like.

thanks

As a matter of fact I am at work and in my building i do not get very good reception so i see that my phone often switches back and forth from roaming and not roaming. This may be the cause of the problem but i think it still occurs at home where i do happen to get great reception. I will see how it goes at home and post a reply. Thanks for your help.

I am having an issue with One Note Mobile in the new kitchen. I built a ROM that did NOT include One Note Mobile, since I previously had issues with the OEM synching to my One Note installation on my laptop. Then, I installed One Note Mobile the old fashion way through activesync.

Now, my system (ActiveSync) sees that I have One Note Mobile on my PPC, but it won't sync my existing mobile files to my PPC (and doesn't give me the option to check a box next to One Note in the ActiveSync "Options" dialog box).

Any thoughts?

Device Lock

I realized that the Device Lock included in this kitchen is the older version. It does not include the easy unlock option. I attempted to install the new cab over top if this, but that doesn't seem to fix it. I can flash it again with out the Device Lock, but it would be nice for luv2chill could do that great updating thing he's been doing.
