@Kolano - I explained this earlier. If you don't want to have to set your time zone you should add the required entries (I even provided the two keys you need) to an RGU file in your own customize OEM package. Everyone should make one of these once they are comfortable enough with how the kitchen works. Make sure your customize OEM has a UUID that starts with several "f"s (at least three, up to the first eight digits if you want). This ensures that your entries will be the "last in" and won't be overwritten.

I don't want the time zone to be in the provxmls (at least the North America ones) because it's just causing too many problems with the DST stuff, plus everyone here has a different time zone preference--there's no reason for Verizon to default to Eastern over any of the other US time zones. MS defaults to pacific, and that's how the kitchen will be. If you don't want to set your time zone each time just set it once, export those two registry keys, and add them to an rgu. It is extremely easy and is the "right" way to go about this IMHO.

for anyone who have trouble with phoneboost, try Etenpack OEM-it's in the new core oem FTP.
I've tried it and it has no problem at all, and can make zoom sms, callfilter and profiles.

nobrakes - hard reset your phone and then do not allow the customization step to take place--soft reset when you see the message about "customization in 3 seconds".

Arghhh. Just realized it's not spb diary that has spbservices.exe in it, it's pocket plus. I updated my original post and the attached files. Sorry for the confusion.

Also, I only renamed the exe in the original oems - a few bytes can be saved by deleting spbservices.exe.inSpbCore from the oems.

luv2chill - I never let customization run, do you know which cab in the extended rom is the culprit? I use my own custom extended rom. On the older 3.3 it worked fine. Thanks again, everything else works great.

I didn't use my custom extended rom this time and didn't let it run the customization and everything is kosher. Thank you

@nobrakes - No I don't know what the culprit cab is but someone else had the same problem and that was the fix. The important thing to remember is that you are able to pre-build in all the good stuff from the extrom by checking that box in the buildos app. That means that your real extrom (stock or custom) is no longer needed and can actually cause problems due to old files or reg entries (designed for a much older version of Windows Mobile than this one is).

It's sort of akin to installing old Windows 98 drivers for your printer under Windows Vista which has newer drivers built in. Sort of a half-ass analogy but hopefully it makes a little sense.

My issue with the white dialer background seems to have cleared up. I'm not sure when it happened as I loaded a few apps today, but it is working again. It may have been when I loaded the vista aurora theme, but I'm not sure...

On a side note, I didn't get an answer to my question about changing to the crossbow dialer. Is there a way to do this without reflashing? How about if I wanted to load one of the other dialers? (I really like some of the ones on http://www.paulya.com/).
