Unlike most people who see signal level improve, in my case, the signal level actually decreased. I do not know what the problem was? so I also upgraded 20227 prl file and hope it will improve the signal level. After the prl file upgrade, I still get same result and sometioms I got "unable to call" error message which has never happened before.
My carrier is SPRINT and my rom is BigJ's new core 1.1r. Any hint what's wrong in my case? or where can I download 1.27 radio so I can roll back my radio to 1.27 and compare if that will help? Thanks. |

Holy jesus!
Okay so I installed that radio upgrade. On soft reset, I couldn't browse at all... so I soft reset again. I've NEVER gotten a speed result of 737 on the 1MB test on DSL Reports at home. I usually get 400 tops. The EVDO signal gets really weak in my apartment... I'm going to load up Opera and see what I get on testmy.net.... EDIT: WOW! 838 first test (2992KB file), 924 second, 775 third Upload: 106. I only ran the upload test once because that's not as important to me... But previously, I was getting about 64 on uploads at home. I can't wait to see what I get at work tomorrow. This is insane! At work, I usually pull those numbers... so lets see what I pull now. Thank you so much for the post! I also noticed that pages literally FLY onto the browser... the lag time for the connection has been greatly reduced! |

Here is the link to a 1.27 radioftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@ppcgeeks.com/Apache/Hetal-PPC6700-Radio-1.27.rar
But, why would you want to downgrade? lol

Flaky Comm Manager (Radios refuse to stay off)
I've been running this radio for about a week since upgrading from the FTP. Has anyone else observed these symptoms?
1. Flight mode engages OK, but all radios (except WiFi) turn themselves back on within 30 minutes. (This happened to me during some recent travel and resulted in a half-dead battery after an hour flight.) 2. I can use the Comm Manager or PhoneWeaver to turn off the Bluetooth radio, but it turns itself back on within 15-30 minutes. (This interrupts a tethering session with my laptop on Internet Sharing.) Bluetooth also turns itself on after a soft reset regardless of its previous status. If no one else is seeing this, I'll probably try reflashing the radio using Phoenix's DL on this thread. Thanks, tmb |
