Upgrade to Radio 1.41

3 Attachment(s)
Here is easy and simple way to upgrade to the newest radio 1.41. Download the file below, un-zip, put your phone in bootloader mode (hold record button and power button, press the soft reset button), and run APACUpgradeUt_noID. Follow the onscreen instructions, then when finished, perform a soft reset instead of a hard reset (this way you wont lose all of your data). It will tell you to do a hard reset, but believe me, a soft reset will word just fine.

This will work for all apache's on any carrier

Ignore previous stupidity.

Yes, it tells you to do that in the onscreen instructions

I edited my question at the same time you were answering.
I ran the file again and saw. It's embarrassing because I always get on my wife & son about reading directions and not "skimming".
Thanks.

Update is 64% done.

Done.

Holy cow.
Immediate difference in signal strength. I usually get 0-1 bars here at home.
Now getting 2-3! Almost as good a real phone.

Am I right is saying that the stock radio is in the kitchen in case I have a problem?

phoenx06 07-13-2007 10:48 AM

I can get you the stock one if you have problems, but you shouldn't

WOW, THANKS!

I went to a place where I usually get 0-1 bars and fluctuations ebtween 1x and EVDO. It fluctuated between 3 and 4 bars and stayed on EVDO the whole time!

Now to try it out at my home...
