Upgrade to Radio 1.41

if I update to the new 3.5 do I have to reupdate the antenna? or does it change for good?

also, I've been using it for a couple days and its all but rained money from the sky as a result, love love love it.

I think they included the 1.41 radio in it, but not sure. Worse case sceanrio you would just have to flash the radio again (I think the process isn't too painful, lol)

No radio ROM in the new kitchen. You shoouldn't have to reupdate the radio ROM though as the kitchen doesn't affect it.

He would be correct I hadn't got to look at the kitchen yet, and I didn't know if they had included a radio rom in it or not. You should be go to go then!

Agreed, the new 3.5 doesnt have the new radio as I was still at 1.12 i think. As I said in another post, I did the upgrade and do reflect the change in version numbers. I also did my *22899 to update my PRL. However, I still get only 1-2 bars at work so I do not notice a change. I also do not see a noticable change in WiFi at home. So for me I do not notice any change anywhere at all. But having the latest version certainlt doesnt hurt.

I'm gonna try to release a custom rom of mine somethime soon built from the new kitchen. I'll add the radio into it whenever I get it done, just for handy sake

worked great on my sprint 6700 with bigj 1.1r no hard reset required

have seen any improvements to speak of but atleast it didnt get worse

I'm running BigJ v1.1r and upgraded to radio v1.41 and latest PRL. Don't notice any better signal from my apt. I barely get any signal except next to window.

BTW, is *22899 just a Verizon thing? Didn't work for me on Sprint but I may have done #22899. Had to install PRL manually.

phoenx06 BigJ is working a new ROM as well, based on the new Helmi kitchen. You might want to talk with him. He's done alot of great work and is pretty responseive. Good luck

Yeah, I dont think the *22899 works for Sprint. I think you have to call them or something, I'm a b00n when it comes to Sprint, lol.
