One problem I noticed when I built my ROM is that the Data connection was turning on automatically. When I created my own Data connection with my information, I found that there was a SPRINT connection already built into my ROM. I have a Verizon device, and I selected the VZW pack when creating the ROM. Anyone else seen this?

BTW! I am now adicted to Flashing and cooking ROMS. I have flashed my phone atleast 2 times a day since the R3 kitchen was released!!!!

Grrr.
I just found out that the Palm SMS app has it's network settings set to Manual by default and so it won't receive messages. UNTIL you change it over to automatic. AND even then I can only receive the messages with the Palm App running in the foreground. This ain't gonna work for me either.

I guess I will be reflashing soon.

I built a Kitchen with the Verizon custimizations. I can send and recieve MMS, but when I hit send fro mthe Camera I get a Dialog saying email or MMS, but can not select send nor can I select cancel. Anyone else seeing this or have any suggestions.

I don't have quit the same issue. I can select one of them but when I select MMS, the camera appears to lock. I hit the red phone end button and it takes me out of the camera. However, if I choose send by Email, it takes me to the next dialog asking me how I want to send it.

The plot thickens... went into CommManager to turn Bluetooth off this morning, and the text looks fine. I haven't done anything to the phone since my last post. Odd.

FWIW, this used to happen occasionally on certain Web pages using PIE, too... so maybe it's just my phone. Since I abandoned PIE in favor of Opera, I hadn't seen this issue until now.

I finally found the PalmSMS app and tried to reinstall it manually from the cab.
Still not working. Now I can't even receive messages with the app running.

In my case Verizon seems to sets itself up as a data connection, I'm guessing somewhere in the carrier customizations. I have no data plan and rely on wifi, so I'm still trying to work out how to prevent this via an update to the kitchen.

I'm using the R3 and the Intent Midlet Manager fonts for the apps are really large so you can't see everything on the screen. Does anyone know a fix for this? I want to try out that new Opera Mini 4 Beta.

I found the settings in the registry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tao\intent\conf\sys\ui\midp\vnd\font .

Change the entries in this key to make the fonts smaller. I chose 14 pt.
