I believe that PAN will not work with MS bluetooth stack in XP. It may work in Vista. If you are running XP, you will need to get another stack. There are other threads on this. I never use it so I am of minimal help.

Signal strength icon/indicator

Is anyone else having an issue with the signal strength indicator in the topbar not showing correctly? It's also not reporting the correct signal strength to PhoneAlarm.

Ooooooooh.. hold on a minute. Looks like the sig meter is working! Just started showing two bars.... But PA is showing 0%. Dang.

IDTransfer?

Colonel,
I've been a devoted user of your 3.3.3 ROM since it came out. (Strayed one day to Sardinour's 3.5 but quickly returned to the fold.) I was all set to flash your even-better final 3.5 ROM this weekend, but the absence of bluetooth caller ID with MS Voice Command would be a deal killer for me - this phone prefers to remain in the case - so I've held off. Does Bad Sector's IDTransfer (or CallerID, whatever it's called now) still not work with your 3.5 ROM? Does the volume-adjustment tweak work instead? (I've tried that on 3.3.3, but still haven't been able to get BT caller ID without Bad Sector's program.)

Maybe one of these days I'll do some custom baking of my own, but until then I like your tastes....

I use Bad Sectors ID Transfer 1.03 with Colonel's 3.5 final, and it works like it did with the 2.x and other 3.x ROMS for me (XV6700). It will not announce the first incoming call after you activate it, but seems to reliably catch calls after the first one.

IDTransfer still works. I just did not include it since it was a small app and caused issues for some people. Also, Bad Sector is still working on it so any future upgrades would not be in the rom. You can put the cab in the Boot folder on the SD and name it to IDTransfer.cab (I think) and it will install on initial boot. There are instructions in the Boot folder that comes with the rom.
