I am the original form of the phone whore but this time I will resist. I have learned my lesson I will never leave my 6700 again so when the 6800 comes out I will have to do some care full considering and see if it is really better than the 6700 before I go out and spend another $500-600 on a new PPC. So what I am trying to say is I will most likely buying one within 48 hours of the release.

Eten option
I would love to see an Eten version compatible with the Sprint network come out soon. These guys have their act together with the M700 or even the X800. http://www.etencorp.com/
They would have to be hackable though, I have to have the Colonels kithchen. |

Size, Memory, Speed.
There you have it! Windows Mobile 6.0 is already being released in europe. (see) http://www.europe.htc.com/ so its only a matter of time before we have it on the 6700/6800. someone will get it hacked sooner or later. sprint is in negations with HTC and Microsoft now to provide WM 6.0 to there customers. so it looks like that wont be an issue if were patient. so at this point its a matter of a little less size, a little more memory and a little more speed. plus the bragging rights that you have the best Sprint has to offer! and what the heck it just looks better ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() so like it has been said before I'll be there on release day wallet in one hand wiping the slobber off my chin with the other |

yeah, the ability to hack these phones isn't a matter of if, but when... people always love digging around the new technology. I personally want to see if I can get a swap out in the near future thanks to my analog stick goin wonky slowly over time... also, I like the charcol gray design

I would buy a 6800 only if:
1. a Kitchen is available for me to use for customization 2. form factor is noticeably smaller / lighter and a lot more memory 3. prices have fallen to where I'm not paying the 'early adopter penalty' to Sprint for phone they won't likely support any better than they did the 6700. No reason to pay a premium price for 3rd rate support. |

I'll be getting a 6800, my main reasons are EvDO Rev A and more memory. Going to the 6700 was hard after being used to all the memory I had in my 6600. I need space and not the kind of space a storage card can provide, I need something the OS can acces on the regular.

I wont be, all it seems to be is a different shell, and i dont mind the 6700 shell too much. and besides, ive had my 6700 for 4 months, im not shelling out that kinda cash for another phone when mine is just as good.
