Stores are not carrying the 6700 in preparation for the 6800. Either wait and see if they give you a 6800 after release, probably for some extra money... or try over the phone since the 6700 is still available on the website.

8i hate to be the one to burst peoples bubble but sprint is not going to swap out anybodys phones from a 6700 to a 6800 for at least 2 to 3 months.. I worked for sprint for 2 years and was talking to my old regional manager(im in the ny market) and he said that they have a ton of 6700 in the wearhouse.. they(sprint) are holding on to them untill the 6800 drops..reason why cuz they know people are going to come out of the wood works with broken 6700 trying to get upgraded.. now I'm not saying its impossible but your going to have a hell of a time

Okay I'm totally going ???? here
HOW on earth do you guys walk into a Sprint Store and get your phones replaced?????? I have the insurance etc. on my phone, always have, and I've never been able to do it. They tell me I have to call the number and get it replaced that way. This has been the case for years. I HATE doing that. so what's the deal? How are you guys walking into a store and getting your phone? I realize now of course it's not happening w/6700's but I just mean in general. |

I broke my phone by dropping it this last week, I went in the next day to the Verizon store and I knew the phone was out of warranty and I never purchased the insurance and I just walked up and told them that "the LCD stopped displaying information" and the guy took it in the back for a min then came out with a brand new phone and gave it to me. No questions asked. Suckers.
I told the guy that I wanted to speak to his manager and tell the manager that he should get a raise. Verizon kicks ass. |

I suggest that you ask how best to proceed over on the Sprint sub-forum on HowardForums. Here is a link to my thread on the replacement run around issues for my broken 6700. There are Sprint employees there that can provide further advice.
