Search for the FTP log in information that is on a sticky here. That'll help you out!
I can't find any FTP login information on a sticky (using search function). I hope I don't have to read through 12 pages of threads about things that should be easy to respond to- could someone please just post the login/password?
Actually you have to be part of the rom development team to get the username and password. It would have been emailed to you if you were part of that team. Sorry, if nobody mentioned that or it wasnt understood. If you are part of the team, you will know who to PM for that information.

Now that this has been out for a day or two - does anyone from the team have an ETA on the kitchen release?

EZ Install Instructions for nk.nbf

For those "on the fence" who haven't worked with nk.nbf files before, here's how I installed this ROM (I'm with Sprint, but this could be easily adapted to any carrier):

DISCLAIMER: This worked great for me--YMMV. Use at yuor own risk. Be not afraid, however... Actually bricking a 6700 is a very rare event usually prompted by installing the wrong radio ROM.

1. You will need: winrar or winzip, carrier's full installation package, and new nk.nbf file

2. Create a folder and use winzip or winrar to extract the contents of the carrier's installation package into that folder

3. Flatten the directory structure in that folder (move all files from subfolders to root folder and delete empty subfolders)

4. Overwrite nk.nbf from carrier's install package with project ROM nk.nbf

5. Put phone in bootloader mode and connect to USB

6. Run ROMUpgradeUt.exe and follow onscreen instructions

7. IMPORTANT! When prompted to disconnect and soft-reset, DO NOT let carrier customization run (soft-reset again during the 3-second countdown)

8. Instal Total Commander, enter \extended_rom\ and install (double tap) only the necessary components for your carrier (this info is available in many threads on pdaphonehome and ppcgeeks)

9. Enjoy a faster, more stable, and less-obsolete 6700!

I installed this ROM prior to this instruction and it seems to be running fine. Do you know how preventing the carrier customizations from running impacts ROM functionality?

Observations

This is by far the best quality base release I have seen. Battery life is great. VC works great. Bluetooth seems to always work for phone headset. I have not had an issue with any if the other applications I use.

Congrats all around.

The carrier customizations overwrite some of the 3.5 functionality. The only concrete issue I've seen so far is that it can cause SD card issues. If you're using an SD card, and sometimes the phone won't recognize the card, that may be why. I haven't heard of any other defined issues, but I imagine a few more will surface.

Guys,

When do you think the kitchen might be released? Hours, days, weeks?

Thanks!

I don't think the developers have a timeline in mind. They are making sure the the quality of the kitchen is the best it can be. Do know that when it is finished, there will definitely be an announcement and the kitchen will be released for all to cook!
