this app is amazing... i just got my mogul and i have wanted this from the start... still using regular today screen so i dont have total iphone envy but i was dying for the slide lock... thanks so much for all of the work you guys did this is really great.

just a quick question, and i apologize if it has been covered. i am using task manager to launch when i wake up my phone but it takes about 5 seconds for the lock to appear. is this normal or is it just my phone? is there any way to speed up the launch?

the 5 second delay to launch is normal. This is basically limited by the lanq used at this point. You can try the slide2unlock by A_C on xda_developers site. He uses an additional program (ilock) which launches the slide 2 unlock much quicker but does result in a approximately 5mb usage of memory. I'm not too good on C and haven't had any volunteers to help create a front end loader for this slider : (

I'm still working on some new additions though, just been busy this last month.

andason and Yuma, I didnt know if you guys were up for a different challenge or not. Basically, if you have used the newer SPB Mobile Shell, you know about its now screen. It also has a lock function built in. However, using its lock takes three taps to get to the Today screen (I know that sounds very lazy). Using Slide (A_C's at least) will cover the Now screen and you have to unlock to see any info.

Now, here is what I suggest...How about a smaller slide that would only cover the bottom bar. Then you could still view the info on the Now screen. Just a suggestion. If you would like to try this or discuss further, let me know. I am always in the chat room.

Now that is a great idea! I've tried using devicelock with Mobile Shell and it doesn't work well all the time and this would be a great addition...

Am I the only one that can't get slidelock to work with MobileShell at the same time?

If we can get Slidelock to work in general WITH MobileShell (unless my situation with slidelock and MobileShell not playing well together is just with my phone), the latest version of slidelock shows everything the NOW screen does already (including weather updates from either SPB Weather, PocketWeather, or WeatherPanel). I would love to use slidelock, I like the format, you can change the clock fonts, and have whatever wallpaper you like.

Basically, the only thing the NOW screen has over slidelock is the ability to have an analog clock (may be able to be done on slidelock), and the next alarm is posted.

Just my 2 cents worth, what do you guys think?

So you're suggesting a slide that will block all key presses and use the arrow to kill the slide AND the now?

When I use both together, the phone will freeze after a couple slides....usually after I let it set a while. I used slide all the time untill I got MobileShell, and Shell works fine without it, so it has to be the two in conjunction....unless anybody else has any ideas, or experience with both working fine, I am more than willing (actually, it is also more than likely) to find it is a user error or configuration error on my part!!

Thanks
