one thing I noticed......I could have sworn the banner/background behind the clock was bigger....the day & date are now below the banner, I thought it was inside of it.....it seems narrower.

Messy, inelegant, and slow, but that'll get me a long way to what I need. Too bad there isn't an .ini setting to default to max. power save mode.

still working on the inactivity timeout.

Could you go into more detail on the max. power save mode
?

How are you checking that it's not still in memory?
It doesn't show up under O2 running programs, O2 Plus, Memory applet, or TaskManager

I noticed that close app is disabled in the code. i re-enabled it now. thanks.

Good! That means it must just be me. I'm using Helmi's New R2 kitchen. I'm about to upgrade to R3. I'll post my results.
i think i see what you meant by the icons. it seems on initial install of the app the icons show regardless of the actual status of messages and such.. but it appears to go away.. i'll look in to this some more. the icons should be visible if you have a message / missed call and such and disappear when cleared. not grey .

thanks.. that is the original, but i squeezed it just a little bit to prevent cycling text from crashing into it.

i had to shuffle a lot of stuff here recently due to my phone problems.. i'll see if i can find my last topbar. But it will work with either. If you wish to adjust it some more you can use a progam to adjust the size. I personally use photofiltre.

I can't seem to get this to register to the start menu so that it comes on when you shut off the phone. I can do that with slide2Unlock, but it would be nice to have the last call on the screen . Thanks

sorry.. didn't see you post ..

all the way to the left will trigger the power save and will suspend the program after about 15 - 20 seconds .. unless interrupted by another touch on the screen.

oops, meant all the way to the left. Daim Bramage.

So, if you don't slide it to the left, it stays there chewing battery cycles, right? I've always just been able to make it through the day on one charge, so if I install this I think I'll have to charge partway through. I was thinking (maybe incorrectly) that if the slider could default to least power setting I would essentially get a screen lock that only updated for about 10-15 secs when device powered on, and otherwise the device would be in max powersave mode until unlocked.

yeah, if you don't slide to left it will be almost 100%, it's diluted slightly to allow the caller id and other notifications to bleed thru.

so you are saying once you start the app, wait 10-15 secs and suspend. then the next touch will unsuspend?

I can probably do it that way, but the powersave mode will continue to trigger every 10-15 seconds. i could possibly make that an option in the .ini so that 0 is like the current set up and 1 would reverse it.
