Just wanted to say that after installation of Beta 2 and a small amount of use, VC works just fine with both the phone and BT headset. My initial impression is that there is no difference in functionality between this rom and PR6 in these regards, except the fidelity of the music from BT stereo headset seems possibily improved in PR8.

So is carrier updated time/date for timezones still an issue?

I ask cause I was on vacation in SD (live in IA) and it did not update my phone for the timezone change. I manually had to do it then had to re-adjust it again once I got back.

Not a huge deal as I don't travel that often but would like to hear from some others on this.

Looking forward to PR8 when released. Love PR6. I put the AddrBook Default Area code Reg it + am running FingerFlick Contact Manager. Love the way it allows the contacts to scroll (only issue is with adding new contacts/editing existing ones; you have to go thru 2 screens to get there)

I have a plantronics 665 BT Headset and am looking forward to BT Stero improvements and VC improvments as well. I am currently running Audio.exe to open up and send ALL AUDIO to the BT headset when I am using it. It solves the VC announce incoming calls.

Keep up the good work. By far the most stable custom rom out there.

In Beta 2, I can confirm that VC announces incoming calls through BT headset. It does not announce otherwise. I mean, if no BT headset is set to receive calls "hands free" then the calls are not announced on the phone itself. The phone just rings normally. I guess that's expected, right?

I've had a couple of lockups, but I'm quite sure these were the fault of an app I was running. I've had zero lockups on soft reset with PR8 -- lockups of that type were a frequent occurence with PR6 (for me).

saridnour,

Any estimates of when you will release pr8? I'm running pr6 right now and love it, but suddenly I'm running low on storage memory. I've been running pr6 for some time now, but I think I must have installed something that is hogging up my storage memory. I know I'm gonna have to re-flash it again, but I'd rather wait for pr8 instead of doing pr6 again since I know you are close to releasing it .

Thanks!

I haven't used a Sardinour blend in a while since the new kitchens have been coming out. I'd love to try pr8 since you make great roms. Thanks.
