It may be your USB cable, at least it was in my case. I tried MTTY & UNI_ExitBootloader neither fixed the problem. Tried a different cable & voila everything worked as advertised.

Sometimes the obvious is not.

or if not, is there any simple way to correct the major glitches my phone is having?
i.e. - unable to access contacts, wont connect to my motorola ht820, and so forth.

Based on your post count and this post, you're a noobie that has no clue what he's doing - there's nothing wrong with this ROM. You probably didn't follow directions and flash the stock ROM before this one.

Regardless, you can go back to the stock ROM by downloading it from your provider, putting the phone back in bootloader mode - and running the stock ROM updater. You could have seen those instructions several times on this thread.

Next time you upgrade to a new ROM, make sure you read through the whole process first.

anneki686: From your post, it sounds like you may not have done a corret hard reset. The image in the flash tool DOES NOT show the correct method to hard reset the 6700. You need to hold down the two soft keys (next to the windows and ok keys) while pressing the reset button. It will prompt you yes/No to hard reset. Unless you did/saw this you did not do a hard reset. Without a hard reset the systme is trying to use your old data files so your contacts, etc are in the old format that will not work with the newer roms. This goes for all of the updated roms you will find here. If this is not the case, you may have a bad flash or bad hardware. Restor the rom issued froom your carrier and see if the issues go away then maybe try the rom again. RE-READ the first post as it details the steps to correctly install the rom

I have recently installed several different custom ROMS. All of them, saridnour's and not, have had a default area code of 425.
