I've been using this ROM version since you released it, and love it! I found my first issue though. It's dealing with blue tooth. I can send files with blue tooth and infrared, but I can't receive them. I have tried to receive from a Treo, and also from other HTC devices. They can see me, but it always fails. Has anyone else had these issues, or found a way to correct this?
Thanks.

linenoise,

Are you talking about using BT PAN? I lost my BT dongle, so I can't experiment with that just now. However, I remember transferring files worked only one way. I was sending and receiving from a PC. Sorry I can't be of help.

Possibly, but I thought the PAN issue was fixed. I was ust reading though, if it is the PAN issue, am I required to pair with another PDA first, if I just want to transfer a file, even though I cam see it in my send list? But then, shouldn't my infrared still transfer?

linenoise,

Sorry, but my experience with transferring files is very limited. I've only transferred from my PC to my device using PAN. I think it would work from device to PC if I could set up File Sharing, but I wasn't able to do that for some reason.

Good luck!

saridnour: Are you reading the following thread? It's an interesting discussion about replacing defective 6700s. Anyway, I thought it might apply to you.

http://ppcgeeks.com/bad-news-from-sprint-t5302.html

ppcboi318: After reading your post, I got interested in the possiblity of threaded sms. I found a prog at pocketgear.com called textr that will do this. However, you have to install .NET 2.0 SP2. There's a discussion in this thread in which saridnour said this install might cause a speed slowdown. At least I think that's what he said. So, I'm a little reluctant to try it.

linenoise Are you still having issue with the file transfer? Did you pair with another pda first? I have not tried IR file transfers as I always transfer through wifi or activesync. Only thing I use IR for anymore is connecting to the internet via non BT laptops when I don't have a cable.

ppcboi318: I did not add any sms apps to the rom so it is just running stock here. I do little sms so have been happy with what is in the rom (or with flexmail). What do you gain with the threadded app? Ok I could propabably look that one up, just curious what was sparking your interest in it

jendand: Thanks for the link. So far though I have not had any more issue with the phone and really think it was due to something going on with the network in my area. My phones headphone jack has been dead for some time anyway so who knows maybe I will try my luck at a 6800 replacement when the time comes. But dor now I still am satisifed with the 6700. EDIT: My phone jack is broken due to force on the jack while it was plugged in.

Debating on a new version. Still have little to no real fixes to add to pr6 but I did want to try nuking the welcome app (and graphics from the rom)at first boot as well as remove poutlook link and the first run, extended rom hook. Not really looking to add apps but can anyonw think of anything that they have a fix for (or kow of a fix) or need anything twaked here?? No ETA on when I will do this, but just want to get things together.

Ok this is a weird one, but my speaker on my phone isn't working at the moment. The back speaker works ok, but the headset itself is not working.

Has anyone else had this problem?

pdx77,

Look in saridnour's previous post. Maybe your headphone jack is dead, also. I occasionally have trouble with that jack myself, but so far it'll fix itself after I reinsert the plug a couple of times. You could always use bluetooth...

Have not been near someone else with a pda recently. Will post back as soon as I do. IR does work with my skydiving altimeter though.
