What about adding in the microsoft daylight savings time patch into the next build. I rerun the sprint rom and your rom every single day after my phone locks up, i will be in a call and cant hang up have to soft reset the phone to hangup. This happens with the Sprint latest rom and your rom also. When I flash the phone with the sprint rom and bring it in, they cant duplicate the issue, even if i take it to them when its locked up and show them you cant do anything, they say its working fine because they cant duplicate the issue themselves, and they had to escort me out of the store, becuase i pointed out to the counter person that the phone would not turn on, she tried to turn it on, and could not and i told her not to take out the battery. shen then took it to the tech who also has a 6700 and she showed him it would not turn on... so she then went upfront to the counter and removed the battery and scaned the phone in for repair. Ofcourse an hour or so later the store manager says that it turned on as soon as he got it. I replied that it had not since the counter person showed him it would not turn on, she says that does not count since they have to reproduce the issue themselves, and that i am being insulting and yelling. I did not yell i just changed the tone of my voice. Sprint will not give me my money back for the phone. They will only let me out of my contract. However i also want my money back.

wow,,, well 2 things, my ROM doesnt appear to need the DST fix because all my co-workers, my girlfriend, my phone and the store demo i flashed all updated fine.

I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and up till this year Indiana has had two time zones, Eastern and Central with both fast and slow times since it was left up to each county if they wanted to follow Daylight Savings Time. So one country could be Eastern Time but not follow DST and another county could follow DST. Last year the state made a law forcing the whole state to follow Daylight savings time. People would ask if you are on fast or slow time...and what time zone your are in...
So in WM5 if i select Indiana as my time zone I still get my time set back one hour. The only way to get around this is to select Eastern TimeZone.

soggystockings - I'm having an issue with the clock in the taskbar and on the today screen simply not updating. Phone isnt froze or anything, and if I run any program that covers the today screen - the time refreshes.

Dont see any pattern that causes this to happen yet - just happens a LOT though. sucks cuase alarm clock fails when this happens too.

Hey JBabey,
I am running your rom and my phone did not update the time, but I think it was because in my phone settings, I had time syncronization unchecked, and I had not synced with any computer for a few days.

Also, I see you don't have "midlet manager". to run Java programs.
And don't think you have flashplayer because when I run the "iphoneLock" program, it asks for it.

Just a suggestion, no prob either way.

Midlet manager is HUGE and i actually dont have room in the ROM for it, i have also found it to be highly unstable, it crashes on me constantly and gives me script errors in most of the cool java applications i have. I can post up the most recent (v11) if you want to install it, but integration would make me feel dirty, and i would have to sacrafice almost 4 megs of other applications to squeeze it in there. It also runs off a storage card fine (even without installing it) so its necesity to be in the rom is minimal.

if you dont mind me asking, wich application do you use the midlet manager with, there are a lot of alternative applications that dont require the midlet and function a wee bit faster & more stable. The googlemaps have an actual wm5 application you can use now, WindowsLIVE covers a lot of the older functions i used to use a java application for, and most of the great java games now have wm5 releases.

anyways, lemme know your app, i may be able to integrate or find you a suitable alternative.

Time not updating

i havent had any issues at all w/ the 1.6b version of phonealarm. remember in the settings that you HAVE TO SET your phone number up in the box that says "voicemail".

the dialing issue and not going through..... that sounds like a much deeper problem. you may need a radio ROM update, and i am unable to give you information on that. i would suggest grabbing the latest sprint/verizon ROM upgrade, and grab JUST THE radio nbf flash file, and flash just your radio.

I am not wholly opposed to implementing the MS DST fix, ill put that on my todo list, is there a link or cab someone can post so i dont have to dig, im feeling uber lazy rt now. and next release 9.4 will include the dst fix.

thats the first ive heard of it, most threads recomend you re-format the card (i have mine formated as fat32) and put the data back on, keep me posted and ill check the diff files from the last revision if you still have issues to see if anything changed that i was unaware of during my build

++++++++++++++

Thanks for the DST patch, gonna test it rt now on the demo

EDIT

DST seems to be working fine. it puts an item in the startup which is annoying, but it looks like a neccesity because of the recent DST changes. hopefully something can be done in the kitchen so having this run in the startup is not neccesary but well see
