I'm a newbie here, just having discovered the idea of 'non-Sprint-created' ROM images thru a friend. I don't really consider myself so much a 'geek' as an 'addictive user' - bigger/faster/MORE! I was a little apprehensive when I loaded up this one 3 days ago but am lovin' it so far! '

try T.C.P.M.P the core pocket media player its freeware and it works great

NetCF is already instaled in this rom no need to add it but if you try to reinstall it it freaks out a little and acts like you are out of mem. reflash and have faith its there

Are you sure it's 2.0v2 though... I would think it needs to be updated.

Can't Connect to Bluetooth Headset After New ROM Installatio

Jeff,

I just installed your 3.5 ROM for Sprint. It works great, except it can't find my Plantronics 320 headset, which worked fine with the old ROM. When I try to connect with it, it indicates that the headset wants to connect and requests a passcode (even though none seems to be required or was previously setup).

When I go to Bluetooth settings, it can't find the headset.

I have Voice Command installed in the extended ROM.

Any suggestions?

Also, is there a way to install the Remote Desktop Client?

Thank you.

Mike

There supposedly is a CAB for the Windows Mobile 6 version of Remote Desktop Client (which will work with AKU 3.5) floating around on this forum... but I haven't been able to find it.

I had no problems pairing my plantronics 510 headset. Just make sure you are putting it in pairing mode and then in bluetooth settings choose new device. If it asks you for a passcode, You usually put 0000. I also have VC in my extended Rom so that should not be a problem.

Many thanks. It's working fine now.

It had been a year since I set up the headset and forgot that part of the process.

I love the clean and simple 3.5 for sprint phone. It is much faster, it gets rid of the junk you don't want, and only includes a few programs that are very basic, very necessary, and very free!
That allows me to then install the programs that I choose, not someone else.... and the included sprint interface is great for dumb people like me...

HOWEVER the clean rom 3.5 needs some fixes...
Here are a few known ones that seem to be a case for most people:

+ active sync is left running and drains the battery fast
(I'm having NO issues with battery drain, it is much better than before actually... )

+Modem over USB does not work "COM OPEN ERROR"

+Internet sharing does not work "CHECK USB CABLE"

+Unable to turn off advanced network functions "Failed to disable RNDIS to use Serial"

+Built in mms does not work (not received at other end) ... (I suggest taking this out and providing the mms program w/ sprint settings seperate, but zipped with the rom.

-many of the other reported problems seem to be due to people not hard reseting after flashing, or conflicts with third party programs.

I do not know how to cook and would not be able to figure out these bugs... however if ANYONE can try to fix these issues and issue an updated "clean" rom of 3.5 for sprint, it would be damn near perfect!!!

Please, any of you awesome cookers out there, can you tackle the problems in the clean&simple for sprint 3.5 rom and re-release it???
I'm begging!!!! I love the usb modem as a back-up, but at the same time I love how 'stripped/clean' and fast this rom build is. Any takers on this challenge?
