I am new to playing with these modifications.

I was just wondering if NoJunk will likely be re-released based on the FINAL unified 3.5 now that *it* has been released..

If so, I will probably wait and load the NoJunk version once it is ready.

Thanks for the info.

Problem with install...help!

Folks, I'm having trouble with this install. At the end of step 2 you say to cradle the ppc and then, "Wait for Windows to recognize the new USB device before moving on."

I waited about 30 minutes and still no recognition. The screen is dark and says "USB", just as you say it should, but it just sits there like a big black brick. Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

After step 1, do you put it into Bootloader mode immediately before the standard Sprint ROM update begins, or do you allow the Sprint ROM updeate to install? I've tried both ways, but haven't been able to get my computer to acknowledge the ppc in either case. (I get the lower pitched, two-tone chime when I dock, but I don't get the high pitched "zing"...and the orange charge light doesn't come on.)

Thanks for the help!

Rick

For what it's worth, my computer never recognizes the PPC when its in bootloader mode. As long as the device says "USB," I think you're good to go.

One caveat... if you're using Vista you will definitely have problems (that I don't know anything about, other than people have problems w/ Vista). But if you're using XP, I'd say just go onto the next step. There's very little risk invovled.
