I can't Turn on my phone. When I plug it in a steady red light appears where the normal yellow charging light is.. anyone ever have this problem?

If that didnt fix the problem than your battery has most likley gone bad. If you know any one else with a 6700 try swapping batterys.

Try charging the battery in the cradle. Do you get a red light there too?

Batteries can be had on ebay pretty cheap.

and try plugging your phone in with no battery, then soft reset... if it comes up, then the battery is bad, or worse the charging electronics in the phone is bad.

This phone won't work without a battery installed--even if plugged in.
