nuguy: try copying some mp3 to your main memory and remove your card. Then clear the library and re-create it from the ones in main. See if this does it as it could be a card access issue. Sounds like you have something odd happening here as I play music with VC almost everyday over my BT right from the card.

cebain: Looks like you have a number of things going and I would really recomend that you hard reset your phone then copy over your vc.exe and shortcuts. Do this first and test out vc and verify that it is working then proceed with gettting your data back on. This is the #1 issue people have and for the most part it sounds like the reset does it for them.

84pinin: Thanks for testig that out

iomega71: This lockup was common with apps like weather pannel and sbsh weather that managed the data connection. When the phone would sleep the app would try to connect but could not. Then when it woke with a call, it imediatly tries to reconnect and blocks access to the phone app. I had this issue back in the 2.2 days and it drive me nuts until I dug this up. Check to make sure all of your apps are allowing the system to manage your data and you should be good. If you donlt see this, I would try a hard reset and slowly add your apps back to see where this is being introduced.

Time SYNC. Well my time necer updated at all and I think I know why. I had my phone still set to query sprint for a time sync. Well their time was still an hour off! So I have no idea if mine tried to automaticly update or not as Sprint kepts resetting it back to pre-DST times. Oh well.... Not like it was hard to turn off the sync and increas it by one

The only apps on the phone are the ones on your ROM. Reinstalled the ROM. Any other suggestions?

iomega71: Who is your carrier? What are you loading from the extended_rom? You did correctly hard reset after installing the rom (two front soft keys on front of unit and soft rest? Not what is shown in the grapics of the updater.)

iomega71: Try this, just load these three cabs from the extended rom and don't load the rest as some of these copy old files over the god bits in the rom. These are the only ones I load as well:

Cert_SPCS.CAB
Customize_SPCS.sa.CAB
IOTA.sa.CAB

Again you'll need to hard reset prior to running it. Also with Total commander you can just dbl click in the url area to bring up the hotlist and extended is in there to save a few keystrokes..

I have a Sprint phone and would like to use this ROM-AKU as it's the closest to my current config (using 3.3).
How do I install only the mentioned extROM? Is there an extROM that can be used in conjunction with this AKU to keep the correct setup in ROM with the Sprint configuration? Can I use one of the older Sprint custom extROMs with this AKU/ROM?
Thanks.

saridnour,
Downloaded and Reflashed the ROM this afternoon (I was wondering if the ROM was buggered during the download I did Friday afternoon. Thought I saw something about the FTP site getting screwed up on here). Allowed Verizon to install its stuff from the extended ROM. Then copied voicecmd.exe over to the windows directory. No change from before. sometimes it'll run, but it always ends up hanging and ultimately giving me a "Voice Command has quit due to low memory". There is nothing else on the phone. Does this even after a soft reset when I'm not running anything else. I wonder if there is anything in the Extended ROM doing this.

Saridnour - Have you thought about adding this key so the date will only take up one line instead of two on the Today Screen?:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today.
Create a dword called "AutoSingleLineDatePlugin" and set to 1.

2- BT PAN is working with internet sharing app. (see link above for setup details)
3- The added GAC files are not breaking your .net CF apps. Look for slowdowns in the OS and apps as well as load the apps that were failing (see a page or two back in thread for details here). IDtransfer was one.

I installed the sp1 beta cab, then tried BT PAN just for the fun of it. Couldn't get it to work. I've never tried this before, so I'm probably doing something wrong. Paired the PC dongle with PPC and vice versa. Set Internet Sharing with PC Connection: BT PAN. Network Connection has only Sprint PSC Vision. Clicked connect. It dials up Sprint #777. Says it's connected. Then I try to make the connection on the PC to the PPC, but I always get a message "can't connect" or "connection refused by ...".
