Thanks, I downloaded the Cab Mgr and extracted the .exe - 368 kb, copied to storage card, copied to Windows folder. There's another one already there that's 26b so I'm assuming that's the piece on the ROM? I also did the Button 5 fix. Now when I try to use VC either by clicking on the exe file in Windows or by using the button I get an error message saying "VC has encountered a problem, please restart VC and try again." I've searched and searched and can't find a good tutorial on this. I'm looking forwarded to saving 4mb of storage as soon as I can figure this out.

There's a VoiceCommand.lnk in windows which is a shortcut. It's 26b and it stays. The file you copied to windows is voicecmd.exe. Yes, it's about 386 kb. There wasn't one of those before you put it there, I'm pretty sure.

right, there wasn't one in there before. Now it's there, but I still get that error when trying to use it - either opening the exe file or pressing the assigned vc button. I'm stumped.

In saridnour's original instructions about VC, he said to create a shortcut to the startup folder. You didn't mention doing that, but, on the other hand, I doubt that will make any difference since you get the error by clicking on the exe. Is this the trial VC 1.6? I think I remember reading some posts about people having trouble with that.

yeah, I did paste what I thought was a link into the Windows Startup folder, but I see it has disappeared now. Not sure what I'm supposed to paste in there I guess.

I can only tell you how I do it. In Total Commander, select the VC exe in windows without executing it. Click File,>>>> (A)>,Create Shortcut. Then you can tell it where to put the shortcut. I'll be surprised if this solves your other problem, though.

84pini: I think you may have found a bug.. I may have added a dword value as hex instead of dec in the registry hive.

You should not install the sp1 pack to pr5 but in all actuality it would not cause to much trouble other than installing some bits back to memory (solitare, links and the updated graphics dll), change the OS verioning back to pr4sp1 as well as update the wmp bt vc plugin reg values. The bt wmp plugns are already in place with the exception of the dword vaule I mentioned above. So you can do a couple things. If your good where you are and don't want to mess with things, go to the windows dir and delete:
solitare.exe
pegcards.96.dll (unless you want the updated graphics otherwise leave it)

Then edit: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Versions]
to: "Aku"="SAR.3.5.pr5"

Alternatively and for the sake of the build You can test your find and see if this is the actual issue. Note that I would test this but don't have a bt headset that works with the phone.
Also EVERYONE is wlcome to test this and report back as if it is the case it will be noted as a recomended fix for eveyone using BT.

Hard reset your device and note the reg value below (let me know if the default/from value is different). Then sync up/add all that you had before (except the pr4sp1) and see if the issue is back (this is important that it repros), then soft reset and then make this change:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ UIPlugins\{A13C7005-B7BD-4f0f-B496-A830EAF8DB32}]

From: "Capabilities"=dword:42000001
To: "Capabilities"=dword:0280de81

Let me know if the default/from is not what you see again here.
This is the mixup as the hex value "0280de81" in dec is "42000001" but a hex value of "42000001" is somthing else entirley..

This should be the fix and I will need to post it for everyone in the fixes section and probably get an sp1 together for pr5 when wisbar is releaed on Wed. (thanks to RaginingIdiot for the update info he received) as well as the missing files needed for cf .net that were reported a page or two back. Or maybe a pr6 as bt pan should fit there nice as well

BIG thanks to all whe test this,
saridnour
