I'm seeing two "notes" that can be mapped to the notes button( button5).
One labeled "notes" and one labeled "notes.exe". The "notes.exe" does not work. Gives a message about needing certificate or component or something to that effect.

Not sure if it is related to the previously mentioned problems, but it seemed feasible that some pointers need correction.

I work for sprint. The answer is a big NO!

I have two questions myself

-What would you use "phone codes" for?
-Why is there no icon for spb imager?

Other than that runs great!

Text message issue.

text message issue

In earlier roms I could type a name in the "To:" box and it would generate the number. Now it treats it as a normal text box and does the predictive text thing. Does anyone know a quick fix?

Great Work - a suggestion and a question...

Sardinour:

Excellent stable rom. I've been using for several days with no real problems. One suggestion - Total Commander has a beta version update that has a couple of nice changes - would you consider moving to that version in the rom? Also I wonder if it is worth installing all the codecs that can be installed with TCMP? Or are they already installed. Currently I'm half using the total commander and tcmp i have installed on my storage card and half running the ones from Rom.

Thanks again,

camgee

Is there an update to the smartdialer? Also thanks for the rom. I keep updating and redoing everything but well worth it. Much faster and cleaner phone now.

I just tried that right now and my message was sent. It didn't show the number of the contact, but it did go through. I remember earlier ROMs doing the same thing (it only asked to choose a number when the contact had more than one).

One setting that wasn't enabled on his earlier ROMs, however, is the "Request delivery notifications" for SMS. I don't know about everyone else, but it's pretty annoying for me. I recommend you leave that unchecked in your next release, Saridnour.

Sairdnour:

I think the update cab is causing me some problems. Before I installed it, the dialer did not have SmartDialer but worked. Now after I installed the update cab, smartdialer is present but the numbers don't show up on screen as I dial them.

I really don't want to hard reset again (I had to hard reset to discover the cause of the problem) so is there any way to "uninstall" the cab? Or have you look into it and fix it?

Thanks,

-Phil

PhilR8: you should be able to remove the cab from the add/remove programs. I have not see the issue that you are experiencing though.
I did not make any changes that should have an impact on smartdialer in this update. Could it be another app or modification that you made yourself or part of another change?

Any one else seeing this?

Yeah I uninstalled it and now everything is okay. I am using the jimmy98 vista dialer - it works fine without the update cab (no smartdialer though) but when I install the update cab, I hear the button press tones, but I cannot see the numbers appearing on the screen as I type them. If I press contacts and then go back to the dial screen, they are there, so they are being recognized - just not showing up as I type them.

I don't think I've done anything else to mess anything up - I hard reset just to find out what the deal was so I didn't have much of anything else installed, save for some stuff that I don't think would interfere.

Otherwise, I love this rom. Good stuff!

Saridnour,
I have the pr 4 with SP1 and I don't have the smartdialer options in the menu of the phone app and there is not a problem with the display when numbers are entered...

Everything is fine here, without smartdialer...
