Zwarbyt,

Have you tried using the Internet Connection Sharing utility in the ROM? It's ALOT better than trying to do the USB/WModem tethering. No need to dial it up like a modem any longer, it now works like a network card.

disable active sync on the machine by right clicking on active syn, click on connections, uncheck allow usb connection. then open the app and hit start.

USB sync

Saridnour,

Everything seems to be working great in this ROM, but I am having 1 challenge. I need to use USB sync because our corporate firewall blocks the RNDIS adapter. ActiveSync Mode does not seem to work. Any Ideas?

Voice command did not work with my headset in this build until I reinstalled vc 1.6. It works in your 3.3+ build.

Thanks!

Actually, I didn't knowingly restore anything. I wouldn't know a pim.vol if it hit me in the face. I simply followed the install instructions and then synced. However, thanks for informing me that this is not a problem with the new rom. I looked over some other posts and found two other suggestions, neither of which I've applied yet. One is it clear out storage memory (before? after? upgrade) The other is to do multiple hard resets. Any additional advice is appreciated.

VC 1.6

Thanks pgdeaner for the reinstall VC tip to get activation from headset button to work. What effect does this have on available memory or does it just correct a registry setting since VC is loaded in the rom?

xxfwmxx: If you do not ike the wisebar (or any other app in the rom) just turn it off Also with Wisebar, you can turn off just the cascadig menus by press and hold of the X area to bring up the menu. (Also note a tap and hold on the startbutton will bring you back to the today screes). Just an FYI.

Bug Fixes

I will try and roll up the fixes in a cab this evening as a patch for pr4. If I am missing a bug, please let me know (also if you have a solution/workaround).

BT VoiceCommand fix:
Modify this line in your registry (single slashes if modifing directly, as is if importing as .reg file)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Au dioGateway]
"BTAGExtModule"="\\windows\\vcbthag.dll"

Notes missing:
Create a shortcut to \windows\notes.exe and place it in the \windows\start menu\ or \windows\start menu\programs dir. Sorry about the shortcuts. I actualy save my start menu and restore it after flashing to save my shortcut config so I miss some of these.

Contacts flickering open/closed:
Sounds like a corrupt contacts volume file. I can't re-pro and does not sound like others are hhaving the issue. If doing a restore from a backup this could cause issues. Please do a hard reset and verify if contacts comes up. If so, enter some bogus information and save it. Verify that it can be opened again and maybe soft reset and see if its still available. Also is it only from the soft button or from the link?
