After taking a closer look at the sp1 I realized I needed to run it again, and yep...that fixed the startup compatibility issues.

So wisbar and xcpuscalar now work on startup alongside VC. I've edited my post above to reflect this. Might be a good idea to emphasize to NOT attempt using the trial version of VC at the first post of this thread. Many people will want to try before they buy - but they need to know that it's not happening.

Jimnutt - not sure if it matters, but what headset are you using?

saridnour: I did do the hard reset (got the blank screen asking if I wanted to reset to factory default, Y or N; I choose Y). Then went into BootLoader mode and loaded in your cutom ROM.

I will hard reset and load your ROM + sp1.cab first think tomorrow then copy over the vc exe.

Only prog I loaded in other than whats on your ROM is SoftReset, program the puts a button click to do a softreset. Comes in handy when its docked in the cradle and charging.

Will post again after the hard reset tomorrow.

Thanks for the help.

PPCFreak: You need to hard reset after installing the ROM as this is the factory recomended install process. I am not sure if doing it before will get the same result. I would just go to bootloader, load the rom, hd reset, load sp1 then copy your saved vc exe and shortcut. Also Wisebar has a soft reset option in the dropdown. just press and hold on the "x" area and select soft rest from the menu. Just saves loading another app if you are using wisebar.

Not sure what all the SoftReset program does, but it sounds like you could do the same thing with the preloaded WisBar program. Just click/hold on the top right corner area of screen and you'll see it.

PPCFreak-that's interesting; my startup folder shows:
ClearTempSt...
HTC_CM_Gua...
poutlook (why )
WisBarLite

Saridnour, any reason why there's different items in startup (I know I didn't purposefully install poutlook. I do like cleartemp active).
But . . . I want to report again that your 3.5 is still running great-stable, functional and the PPC is now working as I expected it to.

Many programs have an option to run at startup. Clicking such option puts them in the startup folder.

My startup contains:
pOutlook
VoiceCommand
Wisbarlite

That's it. Any other app you set to run at startup (like xcpuscalar) will also create a link here. If you disable an app to not load at startup it will also be removed from this folder (disabling wisbar will remove the shortcut). Any other apps listed here have been added by you (the app my self start). Also the fewer items you have here the better in the long run. If you load too much and have it running all of the time, it will eat into your system resources and effect speed and possibly stability.

##778

Great Rom!

I am in Verizon and wanted to increase the ear piece volume using the ##778 but I am not getting into the settings. Also tried the phone edit app to no avail.

Anybody got that working? Also my Wisbar advance will not keep the menu cascading working. It is selected and sometimes they cascade and sometimes they dont.

Still this is one fast rom.

1) VC works great at first then all of a sudden (int.) when I hit the button on my motorola 700 earpiece, it promps for a command, I tell it to call XXX, it calls but I have to hit the button on the MOT700 again to hear it ring and talk??

2) when I drive slow (little background noise) VC works great but when I am doing 50+mph (back gound noise) VC sucks at determining my request, is there anything I can do to help this??
